If you have never come to a PAC meeting before, perhaps a free breakfast might en- tice you to attend. 1. Approval of the minutes of the November 21, 2018 meeting 2. Fundraising update and treasurer’s report 3. Principal’s report • Communicating Student Learning update • International Students • Staffing update • Extra-curricular activity updates • Gardening Club • Outdoor Education update - Grade 6/7 Parent meeting Monday January 21st 6pm • Family Teams update 4. Committee Reports 5. Next meeting: Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 9 am Outdoor Education Meeting for Parents - January 21st 6pm On Monday January 21st at 6pm we will host a parent info meeting for the grade 6 and 7 students who will be going to camp in April. Your child will come home today with a detailed notice as you to RSVP your attendance. I have attached the form for you here as well. If you are unable to attend the Monday night session, I will be speaking to this during the PAC meeting tomorrow at 9:00am as well. A Cultural interpreter will be on hand on the 21st to assist those who may require support. Thompson Community Centre(TCC) after school Program for grade 6/7 students In 2018, the grade 4/5 participated in TCC after school program. Now, in 2019, it is the grade 6/7’s opportu- nity. The applications for the grade 6/7s have been made available for students who would would like to participate, however we are currently undersubscribed with only 2 applications received so far. If the grade 6/7 numbers remain low, we will open it up to also include grade 4/5s so that this free program can proceed. School Spirit Day - “Book or Movie Character Day” this Friday Come dressed up as your favourite character…we will all be together in the gym to celebrate at 1:15 this Friday for our Family Team activity (where we will be bringing to life our school motto “Think- ing• Learning• Caring” (TLC)). Parents, as always are encouraged to show their spirit in our school Spirits days as well. Mr. Juhasz will be taking pictures for our next School Spirit Slide Show and eNewsletter. If you dress up, make sure he gets a picture of you.
