INTRODUCTION

SD International is proud to present UF PURC in Antalya, Turkey on 27 November- 2 December as a world leader in international training on infrastructure and regulation. The P3RI – Antalya 2017 consists of 2 modules of training:

• PURC COMPREHENSIVE REGULATORY IMPACT ANALYSIS •

• PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP (PPP) CERTIFICATION COURSE •

These continuing education modules are geared to enhance the knowledge of industry professionals and regulators with various levels of experience. UF PURC’s training programs teach the principles and practices that support effective utility policy, regulation,

management, and leadership. With these tools, government and industry officials develop efficient utility infrastructure strategies. With educated staff, organizations benefit from better decision making and thus a more promising future.

ABOUT

SD International Consulting Inc. will hold its “Strategic Dynamic” international training program with

certificates, in Turkey in the field of Regulatory Impact Analysis (RIA) and Public Private

Partnerships (PPPs) by engaging the University of Florida Public Utility Research Center-UF

PURC between November 27 and December 2.

The venue of the event, Antalya, is renowned as the tourism center of Turkey, and the Ramada

Plaza Antalya downtown hotel is a luxurious and comfortable hotel where participants would have

opportunities to network, socialize and spend quality time with their peers.

The training event P3RI-Antalya 2017 realized by SD International would be on PPP and RIA by

engaging UF PURC, an accredited trainer of APMG’ CP3P certification. P3RI-Antalya 2017 is an

international training program that consists of two separate modules of 3 days each.

The first 3 day module is on the Regulatory Impact Analysis, aims that participants will be able to

structure a RIA process. RIA is an area of expertise by UF PURC and is intended to provide tools

and approaches for regulatory impact analysis (RIA). In this module, participants would learn on

systematic appraisal of the potential impacts of a regulatory decision to assess whether the decision

is likely to achieve the desired objectives and at what cost. Through case studies, exercises, and

lectures, course participants learn how to identify key questions, identify stakeholders and engage

them in the analysis, use appropriate analytical techniques, and communicate their findings.

The second 3-day module would cover basic knowledge on public-private partnership (PPP)

terminology, structures and processes. This Foundation level course is the first level of the APMG’s

Certified PPP Professionals (CP3P) Program, promoted by the leading multilateral development

banks. The CP3P is a new professional certification and the program is an innovation and joint vision

of the world’s leading developmental banks and agencies. Participants who pass the certification

exam would have the opportunity to continue and complete APMG’s CP3P program. All participants

would receive a certificate of participation.

CP3P intends to standardize and demonstrate knowledge on global PPP performance amelioration.

The Foundation level exam of the CP3P would be administered on the morning of the last day on

site, for an additional fee (make sure you indicate in your application whether you would be

participating to the exam. Last minute participation is not possible).

In both events, there would be a focus on energy, water and telecommunication as well as

infrastructures. Participants will acquire knowledge on international understanding of policy analysis

relating to, and procurement of, critical infrastructure.

Together, both the RIA and PPP modules of the P3RI-Antalya event would provide participants an

opportunity to demonstrate to peers their knowledge on infrastructure industries.

On the final day of the event, there would be a workshop and discussion regarding case studies in

utility and network infrastructure. On this last, day, select members of the media as well as other

guest speakers would be invited.

Special projects such as the Disi conveyor in Jordan would be presented during the last day of the

events. The last day would also provide information about UF PURC’s experiences. In addition, the

Body of Knowledge on Utility Regulations online tool would also be presented in this event.
