OZx_AUS 3.5 - Even more landmarks and airfields for Australia!

Introduction

OZx is proud to introduce OZx_AUS 3.5, our latest upgrade to the Australian virtual bush flying

experience! This package includes over 18 new airstrips, a heliport, a 2016 listing of oilrigs and over 20

points of interest around Australia, from the harsh, sun burnt inland areas of Queensland and New South

Wales, to the scattering of many Visual Reference Points (VRP) and airstrips around Sydney, South to

Strahan in lush Tasmania, and right across to picturesque salt lakes in Western Australia.

From small bush strips like Quilpie and Marulan to regional airports such as Bourke and Hay, this

package will suit whatever your taste is!

OZx 3.5 is the result of many hours of effort from our developers and testers. This package is a

testimony to each of their efforts, and we all hope you enjoy this new scenery as much as we did

creating it!

Installation

PREREQUISITES

1. OZx_AUS 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 and 3.4 plus OZx_LIBS 1.0 and 1.1.

2. FTX AU Holgermesh Freeware from Orbx installed & enabled.

3. FSX SP2 or Acceleration.

4. ORBX FTX Australia Regions Payware strongly recommended for best results.

INSTRUCTIONS

5. Download and run the OZx AUS v3.5 and OZx LIB v1.2 Installers.

6. DEFRAGMENT your HDD (NOT your SSD if you have one) if you wish.

7. Ensure that “OZx_AUS” & “OZx_LIB” are enabled in the FSX Scenery Library with these entries above all

FTX entries. (use the Orbx FTX Central program)

9. Check the “OZx_Extras_Readme.pdf” file in your “FSX\OZx\User_Docs” folder and install any items of

interest.

HOW TO READ THESE DIRECTIONS:

This document gives directions from the nearest AFCADed airport in this format:

Departure ICAO Code – Destination, Distance in NM @ Magnetic bearing

So have fun! Try flying cross country with a crosswind and low visibility to test your navigational skills.

Example:

YSCN Camden – Kennetts Airstrip 12nm @ 001

To find Kennetts airstrip:

1. Depart YSCN Camden, NSW (found in the FSX Airport List).

2. Fly a heading of 001 degrees Magnetic (use the aircraft’s compass).

3. Fly for 12 Nautical Miles to be overhead.

4. This would equate to 12 minutes @ 60 knots, 9 minutes @ 90 knots, 6 minutes @ 120 knots.
