Part-time Gardener
Salary £9.92 per hour, working 16 hours on 2 days a week
Lady Margaret Hall is one of the 38 independent, self-governing colleges at Oxford University, based in Norham Gardens. We need to appoint an additional gardener to help maintain our gardens and grounds which cover approximately 13 acres.
Reporting to the Head Gardener, you’ll help with pruning, weeding, lawn care and planting. You’ll also help maintain all garden machinery and equipment in a good and safe working order. Application of herbicides, pesticides and fungicides will also be required but professional training will be provided for those without certification.
As well as a love of gardens and a good knowledge of plants, you should have a genuine interest and passion for gardening. The successful candidates must have at least 6 months previous paid work experience in a similar role and be able to communicate with all those who enjoy the gardens.
