    Tips for Energy Savings

    • Try not to open the door too often, especially whenthe weather Is hot and humid. Once you open thedoor, close itas soon as possible, This is especiallyImpatient tf you have an upright model.

    - Every new end then check If the appliance issufficiently venblated (adequate air circulationbehind the app_tance).

    • Set the thermostat from higher to lower settings assoon as possible (depends on how loaded theappliance is, ambient temperatures etc)o

    CHOOSING THE RIGHT PLACE

    Temperature Selection

    To start the refrigerator,turn the temperature controlknob Io the positioncorresponding to the desiredcooling ( on the graduated blue d_al)F_gA

    The refrigerator temperature WIUvary depending on1he quantity of the food stored and on the frequencywith which the door is opened.To turn the conlrol Cothe "OFF" posffion, rotate_.hecontrol knob to the "0" positton_ tl the refrigerator hasbeen left out of use for some time, set the control tomaximum for 2-3 hoursbefore turning to the desiredposition. If the refrigerator is not being used for long_ime periods, disconnect the plug and leave the door

    parlially open. This will help to reduce mold/mildewfrom accumulating inside the refrigerator cabinet

    • Set the thermostat to a setting where lowesttemperatures are reached. Set the thermostatgradually so as to avoid freezing of foods. Use athermometer and measure the temperature in "[heindividualcompartments. Place the thermometer Ina glass vessel filled with water. Temperaturereadings are most reliable a few hours after a steadystate condillon is reached.

    Automatic Defrosting of theRefrigerator

    There ls no need to defrost lhe refrigerator, becauseice depositing on the inner back walt is defrostedautomaticallyIce build/up on the inner back wall during Ihecompressor operation;will (when the compressor hascycled off) defrost aulornaltcally. Defrost watercoltecls insl_la the drain through passing through thedrain outlet in the Inner back wail into a drain pansituated above the compressor, from where itevaporates.

    Cleaning the Appliance

    Switch Off the ApplianceWhen Not In Use

    If you do not intend to use the appliance for longpedods of time, (vaCations) set the thermostat knobto the STOP (0) position, disconnect the powersupply, take out the foods and defrost and clean theappliance. Leave the door slightly open°

    Disconnect the power bar before cleaningthe appliance..Do not use coarse or aggressive cleaning agents asyou can damage the sudaceoClean lhe exterior withwal_erand detergent.Remove the detachable accessories in the interior of
