“NodeB LMT User Guide” describes the installation and operations of the NodeB LMT.
“NodeB Site Maintenance Guide” describes the routine hardware maintenance items of
NodeB, such as maintenance items concerning the cabinet, power supply and grounding
system, and equipment room.
“NodeB System Commissioning Guide” describes the commissioning and verification after
the installation of the NodeB.

Local maintenance:
The NodeB is maintained on the LMT through the local Ethernet port of the NodeB.
Remote maintenance:
The NodeB is maintained through the IP route provided by the RNC. The
maintenance is performed on the LMT in an RNC equipment room or on the
M2000 client in the centralized maintenance center.

Operator identity:
Operator must enter the correct user name and password to log in to the system.
Operation authority:
The system entitles different types of operators to use different command groups
for GUI or MML operations.
Operation time limit:
Each operator can operate the system only in the time period set for his/her
account.
IP address:
In local maintenance, IP addresse of the LMT PC and the NodeB local maintenance
channel (17.21.2.15) are in the same network segment.
In remote maintenance, IP address of the LMT PC is in the same network segment
with the IP address of the external network composed of the entity directly
connected to the LMT PC and the LAN where the LMT PC is located, for example,
the IP address of the RNC BAM external network.
The NodeB LMT has two lock modes:
Immediate lock
Lock by schedule
Properties of the system:
The LMT property configuration consists of the following tasks: setting the office,
setting the time-out duration of MML commands, setting the system lock time,
and running batch MML commands.

All the MML commands are in the format of "Command Word: Parameter Name=Value;".
The command word is mandatory, whereas the parameter name and value are optional.
An example of an MML command with a command word and parameters: SET ALMSHLD:
AID=10015, SHLDFLG=UNSHIELDED;
An example of an MML command with only a command word: LST VER:;

Enter an MML command in the Command Input box.
Press ENTER. The parameter show area displays the parameters of this command.
Enter the parameter values in the command parameter area.
Press F9 to run this command. The common maintenance pane displays the execution
result.

Run batch MML commands in either of the following ways
Run batch MML commands by schedule
Run batch MML commands immediately
The batch file (also referred to as the data script file) is a file in .txt format. It stores a
group of commands that can perform a common function or a specific task in a file in .txt
format. Therefore, you can simply run the file instead of entering the commands one by
one.

Fault alarm:
Alarms caused by hardware faults such as board failure, or by the abnormality of
major functions. In general, fault alarms are of higher severity than event alarms.
According to the status of the faults, fault alarms can be categorized into cleared
alarms and active alarms.
Event alarm:
An event alarm indicates a predefined event that happens during the running of
the devices. The alarm indicates an instantaneous status of the system and the
status may not be a fault. Certain event alarms are reported repeatedly and
regularly. Event alarms are not categorized into active alarms and cleared alarms.
Active alarm:
If the fault is not cleared, the status of the alarm remains Active. The alarm is called
an active alarm.
Recovery alarm:
If the fault is cleared, the status of the alarm changes to recovered. The alarm is
called a recovery alarm.

Critical Alarm:
The critical Alarm has an impact on the service provided by the system. It requires
timely handling
Major Alarm:
The major alarm affect QoS. It requires immediate handling
Minor Alarm:
The minor alarm does not affect QoS. It requires handling at a proper time against
potential faults
Warning:
The warning shows a potential error that may affect service. It may require
handling in some cases

NodeB time is very important for alarm logs、operation logs and service record.
LST SNTPCLTLATESTSUCCDATE:
Use this command to list the time of latest successful synchronization of SNTP
client to the NTP Server.
DSP CLKSTAT:
Use this command to display the information of the current clock status of the
basic cabinet.
The active and standby WMPT clocks are independent of each other. They can be
queried separately. In the query result, the active and the standby WMPTs should
be the same in Configured Clock Source and Configured Clock Source Status, and
they might be different in other parameters.
When the configured work mode of clock is FREE, the configured clock source is
NULL.
SET CLKMODE:
Use this command to modify the reference clock source of a NE.
When a NE is in normal operation, it is necessary for it to trace an external clock to
correct the NE clock frequency. That clock is referred to as referenced clock source.
The referenced clock source can be GPS card clock source, line clock source, IP
clock source , PEER clock source .

BLK LOCELL: Use this command to start to block a specified or all the local cells.
If the Local Cell ID is not specified, all the local cells in the NodeB will be
blocked, and the Block PRI must be set to "HIGH". Otherwise, the
execution of this command fails.
The local cell to be blocked must exist. Otherwise, the execution of this
command fails.
If the local cell is not bearing any logical cell, you can block the local cell
immediately no matter which block priority is applied to the cell. Otherwise,
the local cell can be blocked only after the RNC responds a block message.
If you set the Block PRI to "HIGH", immediately the local cells shall be
blocked no matter whether the local cell bears the logical cell.
After the cell blocked successfully, the Local Cell Blocked alarm appears.

BootROM software:
The BootROM software refers to the software bound with hardware. It provides
basic device drive function and can be started and updated manually.
The BootBOM software is a re-writable storage medium, which is used to store
binary data, that is, the machine codes. All the boards on the NodeB have such
BootROM software.
The file name of the BootROM software is Firmware.csp.
NodeB software:
For macro NodeBs, the main board has NodeB software version for the master CPU
and slave CPU.
The file name of the NodeB software is Software.csp.
Cold patch software:
The NodeB cold patch can upgrade a specific board or module to improve
functions or to fix some problems.
Hot patch software:
The NodeB hot patch is also named online patch, which can upgrade the NodeB
without interrupting its operation. The hot patch is used to improve NodeB
functions or to fix some problems.
