DESCRIPTION

Timon Smith, Executive Vice President at FacilityOne, grew up in the sustainability capital of the US: Portland, OR, holds a degree in Computer and Information Science from the University of Oregon and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese. Under his current role, Mr. Smith oversees the technology business for FacilityONE including IWMS and FM-related BIM services. Mr. Smith sits on the IFMA Global Strategic Oversight and Planning Committee (SPOT), IFMA Global Research Committee and the IFMA Shanghai Chapter Board of Directors. With FacilityONE, he has led and participated in projects totaling over 24 square kilometers with both Chinese and Fortune-500 clients. He recently led the successful delivery of China's largest IWMS implementation to date for client Tencent. Timon is a guest lecturer for Tongji University and a frequent speaker at global industry events like IFMA’s World Workplace, the Workplace & FM Asia Summit, RICS Asset Management Conference and various BIM events among others. In this talk Timon presents a summary of the previous events in this series, by highlighting basic principles of sustainable facility management and it's key components.
