Overseas Trade Delegation to Cairo & the Suez Canal Economic Zone Saturday 11 - Wednesday 15 February 2017 UK companies are invited to join a business delegation to Cairo and the Suez Canal Economic Zone, organised by the Egyptian-British Chamber of Commerce - in partnership with the British-Egyptian Business Association, Egyptian British Business Council and Department for International Trade (DIT). The UK is the largest foreign investor in Egypt, and trade between the two countries reached £1.7bn in 2015. Its large consumer market (90 million), strategic location and free trade agreements with the EU, Africa and the Arab Region make it an ideal business hub. Our three-day programme offers B2B events in Cairo as well as a visit to two mega infrastructure projects; the Capital Cairo and the Suez Canal Economic Zone (programme on page 2). The programme promotes trade and investment opportunities for UK companies in sectors such as infrastructure & construction, smart cities, financial services, ICT development, agribusiness and renewable energy.
