OVERPULL PROTECTION
Overpulling on your drawworks can part your drill line, damage your derrick or part the pipe resulting in costly fishing or damaged wells.
The Rigsmart Overpull Protection system monitors the weight on the hook and will limit drawworks throttle to less than the yield strength of the pipe, line or derrick structure.
The Rigsmart wireless linerider monitors the weight on the hook. The receiver/display provides the driller with a continuous display of the load, and a percentage of capacity at all times.
An audible and visual signal will warn the driller as the maximum load is approached. When the limit is exceeded, the system automatically limits the throttle on the rig to prevent overpull situations.
Data logging is available when incorporated with a Rigsmart DAS system that will show any overpull event along with the date and time. The log will display the time, date, current weight on hook and maximum capacity entered to the system.
