Overland's Software and Hardware Compatibility Guide Updated 11/5/01

The following compatibility guide is provided for your reference. Since testing is always in progress,

please contact us if a product is not on the list. Also, many hardware and software vendors

conduct their own testing; check their compatibility guides for any configuration settings or limitations.

Overland's autoloaders and tape libraries can be used in SAN configurations in conjunction with Overland's

SANPiper (fibre-to-SCSI bridge). In the Neo series, it is recommended that the internal Fibre Channel Option

card be used rather than the SANPiper for higher throughput. The fibre channel interface includes

Extended Copy support, which is required for LAN-Free (Server-Free) backup.

Please check the "Fibre Channel Card" section of this guide for compatible hardware devices.

card. The fibre channel interface includes Extended Copy support, which is the technology
