Matthew 3:13-15 (ESV) Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to

John, to be baptized by him. 14 John would have prevented him, saying, “I need to be

baptized by you, and do you come to me?” 15

But Jesus answered him, “Let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all

righteousness.” Then he consented.

comes a man who ranks before me, because he was before me.’

justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented him as a sacrifice of

atonement, through faith in his blood.

Mary asked the angel, "since I am a virgin?" 35 The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most

High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
