INT. HOUSE. - TOILET. DAY.

LILY sitting on the toilet, taking a pregnancy test. She

waits patiently, stops and stares at the pregnancy test that

marks positive. Lily throws her head in her hands and cries.

She throws the pregnancy test on the floor and storms out of

the toilet, leaving the test behind her.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE. - BEDROOM. DAY.

A close Lily doing brushing her hair neatly. She is fifteen

and slim with shoulder length blonde hair. She looks pale

and worried. Insomnia has kept her awake for several nights.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE - KITCHEN. DAY.

Lily enters the kitchen. The room is messy with dirty

washing piled over each other. Her school bag is on a chair.

She opens the fridge. The milk is empty and there is no

food. She takes a slice of bread from a load and takes a

bite of the dry bread. She picks up her bag and slings it

over her shoulder.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE. DAY.

Lily’s mum is laying on the sofa not caring about anything.

She is in pyjamas, unclean and her hair is untidy. The table

has a bottle of vodka on it. There is tobacco and marijuana

on the table near her. The room is a state.

LILY

Are you ever gonna clean this place

up?

Mum doesn’t respond to Lily and just lays there still. Lily

walks over to her mum and shakes her aggressively.

LILY

Get the fuck up! You do nothing

around this house your just off

your face the whole day, its a

shithole! How am I meant to bring

my kid up in this?

MUM

Who the fuck do you think your

talking to? Half of this mess is

yours anyway. Look at you, you cant

even look after yourself let alone

a kid. If your thinking of keeping

it you’re both out!

LILY

I’d be a better mum than you ever

have!

Lily storms out the room slamming the door behind her. Her

mum grabs the vodka bottle and pours herself a glass of pure

vodka, then takes a puff from her cigarette.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE. DAY.

Lily grabs the front door handle, opens up the door and

leaves the house. She stops and looks up at the grey sky.

Her face shows that she is feeling depressed and worried.

She walks away from the house.

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL. DAY.

Lily walks into school wanting to use a computer, she finds

a seat where there is nobody near her. She nervously glances

around before typing abortion into google. Close up of

Lily’s face and eyes of her scanning through the pages on

the computer.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE. - BEDROOM. DAY.

Lily is sitting on her bed, nervously texting on her phone.

She texts Ollie saying ’Can we please meet? I need to sort a

few things out!!’

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET. DAY.

Lily patiently sits on a curb waiting for Ollie to show up.

She spots Ollie slowly walking towards her. He is dressed in

tracksuit bottoms, a body warmer and trainers.

LILY

You alright Ollie?

OLLIE

Listen, not to be rude but can we

cut this short, cos I got other

plans.

LILY

You probably already know but I’m

pregn...

OLLIE

Nah, Nah, Nah babe, you’ve got that

all wrong. That cant be mine! You

need to think of a solution quick!

LILY

But you’re the only person I’ve had

sex with.

OLLIE

Well you need to abort dat. Listen,

you was a one off, you didn’t mean

shit to me and I’m especially not

ready for a kid right now, so you

need to get rid of dat!

Ollie walks off kissing his teeth, leaving Lily standing

there on her own. She doesn’t know what to do; it looks as

if she is having second thoughts about going through with

the pregnancy.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET. DAY.

Lily walks down the street engrossed in her own thoughts.

She spots three girls that she knows from school, Ella, Sam

and Rachael. When they see Lily they start whispering and

laughing shouting out vial words. She approaches them

smiling.

ELLA

Eugh, look who it is Sam... It’s a

walking STI!

SAM

Lily you’re a slut, no one likes

you! Ollie only slept with you

because you’re easy. *Sam kisses

her teeth*

Lily hurries away without saying a word.

CUT TO:

INT. SCHOOL. DAY.

Lily walks back into school and walks straight to the girls

toilets. She stands their looking at herself in the mirror

rubbing her belly. She looks as if she’s thinking about

going through with the pregnancy after all.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE. AFTERNOON.

Lily’s mum is still laying on the sofa, in the same position

as when Lily left to go to school in the morning.

Lily arrives home from school.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE. - BEDROOM. AFTERNOON.

Lily is sitting on her bed, doing her homework when her mum

aggressively storms in.

MUM

Lily isn’t there something you need

to tell me?

Lily’s mum grabs her homework and scrunches it up.

MUM

I said isn’t there something you

need to tell me?

LILY

What?

Her mum holds up the pregnancy test infront of Lily, her

face looks shocked.

MUM

This is what!

LILY

Where did you find that?

Her mum raises her hand and slaps Lily’s face violently;

there’s a silent pause then she starts screaming at her.

MUM

How are you planning on supporting

it? Who’s the father Lily?

LILY

it’s my choice, and I’ve decided

I’m keeping it.

MUM

No you’re not, your getting rid of

it as soon as possible!

She storms out slamming the bedroom door, whilst Lily lies

on the bed crying.

CUT TO:

INT. HOUSE - BEDROOM. NIGHT.

Lily has her coat on and is packing herself a bag with all

her belonging inside. Her mum walks in confused and upset at

to what is happening.

MUM

What are you doing Lily?

LILY

I’m not staying here anymore mum.

Me and my baby are better off

without you.

MUM

Oh come on, don’t be silly! I want

you to stay. I’m just worried

you’re my priority, you’re my

responsibility. Come on Lily you’re

too young to have a baby, there’s

plenty of time to have a baby.

LILY

I’m not staying here anymore. I’m

going to be a better mum than you

are!

Lily pushes her mum out of her way and leaves her room.

CUT TO:

EXT. STREET. NIGHT.

Lily walks to the bus stop. Puts her arm out for the bus and

gets on ready to start her new life with her unborn baby.
