I got my bachelor degree in Finance in this year. The Nobel Peace Prize was awarded jointly to Muhammad Yunus, a renowned Bangladeshi economist and social entrepreneur and Grameen Bank "for their efforts to create economic and social development from below" . Google bought YouTube for $1.6 billion. The U.S.’s second richest man at that time, Warren Buffet, announced that he would donate 85% of his $44 billion fortune to five philanthropic organizations. One of my favorite bond film ‘Casino Royale‘ was released in that year. Even though I think Daniel Craig is the worst bond ever.

This year was full of major historical events: the Berlin Wall came down, there was carnage in Tiananmen Square, a Velvet revolution in the Eastern Bloc and in Tokushima, Japan a little boy was born.

This was the year when I became mom for the first time!

Günter Grass won Nobel Prize for literature.

Nelson Mendela retired.

Ricky Martin was singing his “Living la vida loca” and

Roberto Begnini won two Oscars showing us how life is

beautiful. People in Serbia lived not so beautiful side of the

life spending three months in their basements or shelters.

And it was a bronze year for Serbian sport – our

basketball, volleyball and handball teams won bronze

medals at Europe and World Championships.

And in December my firstborn came to our family!
