Our trip to Cannock Chaseto find the Gruffalo

We were all very excited when we got to school Friday morning. We got onto the coach and set

off for Cannock Chase.

We set off on the trail to find the Gruffalo.Miss Stubbs read the book to us as we were going round.

We had to look for clues to help us.

We were very good at looking for clues.

First we found the mouse.

We went on a bit further then…

…we found the fox.

Our next animal was a bit harder to find!

It was quite well hidden.

It was an owl, up in a tree

The next animal was…

…a snake at the foot of a tree.

We knew we were getting close to the Gruffalo because here were our next clues!

We found the Gruffalo!!

Our teachers even did a bit ofextreme reading with the Gruffalo!

We went back to have our dinner

and saw a butterfly on the way.

Then we went on the playground which was great fun.

Then we went on the play ground we played on the slides. Then we went for dinner. PollyWe went on a gruffalo trail. I was partnered with Esmee. We found a mouse fox owl snake then we found a gruffalo. I cuddled the gruffalo goodbye. We got back to the classroom at Birches Valley to have dinner. After we played in the playground. On the way back I fell asleep.
