Many other smaller works have lleen accomplished.Narbr ook P ar k, a real achitlvement of the Civic AEsociation, is
slU'ely a s u c c e ~ s f u l development a nd w il l b e e nv ie d an d copied by COlllmunities in this and other States. Fo r some unexplainable reasOn ou rlocal authori t ies have no t completed th e good work of turning fourteenacres o f swamp amI neglected f arm l an d i nt o $350,000.00 WOrth of revenue-paying property. Lo t owners in Narbrook P ar k a rc f requen t ly andmore insistently- askillg us wh y their ta xe s a re s pe nt o n t he r es t of t heBorough an d no t in t h e P ar k . It i s o nl y fair an d ju:,t that we shou ldbe abl e t o answe r t hem, and to this end ou r Park Development Committee should meet with Councils an d request that Narbrook Park receivethe unprovements which by every right and preceden t it is entitled to.
The Civic Association p rog ram h as in t he p as t b ee n tnllv constructiv e a nd m us t continue to be l ll ore so with a greatly increased population an d a g r ea te r n ee d o f such an organization.It seems t ha t i f i.n t h e p as t we have fa ll en short, it h as b ee n i n thatpart of our object : To fos te r and maintain a f ra ternal sp i ri t among th epeople of th e cOlllnumity.
