Charles H. Lam

At 22 Charles formed his own technology consulting firm, where he did work for Daniel Carter,principal of ITG Holdings.  Mr. Carter was so impressed with his work that he invited Charles tojoin his team in Naples, Florida.  Charles has been with Mr. Carter since July 11, 2005. Charlesis responsible for all technology at ITG Holdings and subsidiaries, including ITG Realty and achain of skilled nursing facilities in Oklahoma.  Technology solutions Charles has implementedat ITG Holdings include an MS Windows Server 2008 R2 environment, Asterisk based SIPtelephone system with SIP trunk and unified communications client and softphones, GoogleApps, VLAN’s with QOS for the telephone and computer networks, assembling a custom builtBloomberg terminal with six screens, a firewall with an intrusion detection system, and securitypolicies and procedures.

In summary, Charles excels at identifying opportunities and devising solutions where technologycan either reduce costs, improve efficiency and effectiveness, or both.  He is experienced inboth implementing said solutions, hiring and leading teams, managing both legacy and newsystems in production and mission critical environments.  Charles has a history of recognizingnew trends in technology and applying relevant solutions to improve business operations.  Hewas and early adopter of Google Apps, cloud storage (Amazon S3), SaaS, sandboxing, andopen source software.  His focus is on cost effectiveness and return on investment, security,and planning flexible solutions with an eye towards future manageability, growth, and change. He is familiar with all aspects of IT, from diverse hardware (copy machines to phone systems,PC’s, laptops, and servers) through operating systems, software, and web technologies.
