This summer sees the launch of our stunning luxury beachwear label, Blackwhiteblush. Born out of a love for beachwear and all things holiday, Blackwhiteblush looks to be a one-stop shop for all your summer essen-tials. We’ve selected all the key pieces needed to put together the perfect Vacation wardrobe; bikinis, swimsuits, and of course an evening maxi. each piece designed to flatter the female figure and fit beautifully to any body. As all girls know, the summer months are all about looking good, feeling sexy, that get away you’ve had booked since christmas, and get-ting that all important glowing tan. We all feel a thousand times more confident with a gorgeous colour but a lot of us put the potential dangers it brings to the back of our minds. We haven’t forgotten the implications of prolonged sun exposure; if we’re honest we don’t do enough about it. Here at Blackwhiteblush we’re a health conscious brand and we want you to look as stunning as you do now, for a long while yet. Just to help you along the way, each of our daytime pieces are printed with an extra layer of UV sensitive ink. It’s very discrete and totally in keeping with our colour palette, if you weren’t looking out for it you’d probably end up missing it. A second stunning pattern will appear, and the intensity will increase the longer you spend in the sun, just to help you keep tabs on your sunbathing. In future collections we hope to bring you technol-ogy that will benefit your health, wellbeing. We are working closely with beauty industry experts to bring future developments straight to you. So finally there’s a gorgeous product you can feel that tiny bit less guilty for buying. Those six bikinis you bought for your holidays will no longer seem as unnecessary...

BeHInDTHe SHOOT:

8 9not that you’d have thought it, but our shoot took place on the sands of Seaton beach just outside of Hartlepool. As a British born brand, it made sense to do our shoot on British soil and thanks to the handy work of our small team, we may has well of been living it up in St Lucia. With Bel’s sultry summer makeup done by the amazing makeup artist Kristina Foster and her hair in beach waves, it was down to Richy Leeson our brand photographer to capture some gorgeous shots to launch our first collection. We were lucky enough to have an afternoon full

of sunshine, clear skies and only a light summer breeze.

THe cLeVeRevery single, well almost every single piece in our summer collection is printed, Blackwhiteblush’s secret weapon. As well

as that amazing new bikini, floppy hat and sky-high wedges, a gorgeous glow is another one of our other summer must- haves. Tans have never been so popular and we are going to even greater lengths to get the colour we want. As a brand we might be giving you the pieces to sunbathe in infact some of our bikinis would barely give you tan lines at all, but know-

ing how to stay safe and healthy under those UV rays is our top priority. This season we’ve gone for the obvious approach and printed an invisible lemon print on our bikinis, our swimsuits,

headscarves and cover-ups. They’ll slowly start to turn lemon as you spend longer and longer in the sun. It’s subtle and makes the prints that little bit more stand out. We’re not saying when they become a burnt orange to run into the shade,

its more a little reminder to top up on your SPF

ST TROPeZ’S GUIDe TO

To avoid those harmful rays all together and still get a sun kissed glow, look to St Tropez for all the answers. From gradual tans, everyday tans, instant tans, tanning mitts, and the famous spray tan. You really can get the perfect fake tan this summer. As one of the original tanning companies, St Tropez is the obvious choice for perfect, results. They understand different skin types and have a unique tanning regime for each. now that bikinis bought and holiday booked, our skin needs to be beach ready too, we paid a visit to the St Tropez concession inside our local Debenhams to speak to a tanning expert.

eXPeRT ADVIce: FIRST THInGS FIRST:A bad habit we all get into, always do a patch test before every fake tan application.

eXFOLIATInG:The evening before applying any fake tan, exfoliate using St Tropez Body Polish, paying special attention to areas of your body such as hands elbows and knees.

BUILD UPS:If you have areas of self-tan build up use St Tropez Tan Detox at least 12 hours before applying a new layer to remove any existing product.St Tropez Tan Detox is luxurious bath oil and comes with an exfoli-ating cloth. It helps return skin to its natural tone ready for a fresh self-tan application.

HAIR cARe:Tan can stain light coloured hair. And always remember that waxing or shaving should be completed prior to treatment to reduce sensitivity.

cOLOUR GUIDe:St Tropez Mist comes gives instant colour so you will see a difference straight away. Your tan will develop immediately afterwards and then for the next 12 hours.

MAInTenAnce TIPS: With the correct aftercare your tan will look gorgeous for much longer.

HYDRATIOnHydrated skin is the key to a longer lasting tan. Apply St Tropez body butter or St Tropez moisturised to keep your skin hydrated and super soft too.

FADe AWAY:To ensure even fading you need to exfoliate your skin with St Tropez body polish every 2-3 days this will refine and buff the skin to create an even and long lasting tan, while leaving your body feeling ultra smooth all over.

nO nOSDon’t rub your skin after showering or bathing, pat it dry.

STAY POOLSIDeAvoid pools as chlorine can bleach your tan.
