SKIN CARE ROUTINES A good skin care routine is essential in order to keep the skin sturdy and resistant.

At Christine Headwear, we have very good experiences with Beauté Pacifique’s skin care products. We consider these products as being a very good choice when it be-comes necessary to reduce skin irritations that may occur as side effects during cancer treatment.

Having focus on your skin care during treatment is essential in order to prevent or avoid worsening of these skin genes.

With preventive action and the right skin care products, you can do a lot to reduce the side effects on your skin. A reduction of side effects can provide a better quality of life during your cancer treatment.

We always recommend that you consult your doctor before you start optimizing your skin care.

CLEANSING • A good skin care routine begins with proper cleansing of the skin, so it is prepared for getting the maximum benefits of the skin care products.• Keep your baths short and not too hot.• Avoid using sponges or washcloths. Use your hands, they are gentler. • Use soap/cleansing products that are milder than water and moisturise your skin without drying it out.

SHAMPOO FINE HAIR Extremely mild scalp shampoo, which is milder than water and prevents the scalp from drying out.

Can be used every day without drying and irritating the scalp. Ideal product during hair loss.


CAREAfter mild but effective cleansing, your skin is ready for all the benefits of the skin care cremes.

Choose cremes that increase the skin’s moisture level and have a long-term moi sture-retaining effect, so you won’t stress your skin with more applications than necessary. Avoid greasy cremes, which stay on the surface of your skin and clog your pores. Instead, choose cremes that penetrate into the skin for optimum effect, providing mois-ture and protection to the surface.

DRYNESS Dry skin is a common side effect of cancer treatment. The dryness often causes itching, tightness and general discomfort to the skin. PEELING SKIN/SORES When you experience peeling of the skin, or if sores begin to develop, you should use creme that effectively restores and repairs the damaged cells, which helps the skin to heal.





SENSITIVITY TO LIGHT Many types of treatment cause increased sensitivity to light and the risk of lasting pigment changes. The risk of sunburn, and even severe burning, is increased even with moderate exposure to the sun’s rays. The skin needs to be rebuilt and made thick, strong and robust so that it becomes more resistant to the sun’s rays. The skin must be protected during the daytime, even when you stay indoors. You are still exposed to the sun even through glass windows and when it is cloudy.

STAY BEAUTIFUL Day creme with SPF 30* – anti-ageing sunscreen for face and décolletage.

This sunscreen has a powerful anti-oxidative effect and contains antioxidants from red grapes and vitamin E.

STAY OUTSIDE Day creme with SPF 30* – moisturising sunscreen for the whole body.

Protects against UVA and UVB rays.

*The difference between sun protec-tion with SPF30 and SPF45 is only 1%. The higher the sun protection factor, the more the creme blocks and clogs the pores, preventing the skin from disposing of sweat and waste substances. Therefore, you can rely on SPF30 which provides the same level of protection as the sun-blocking creme, but is gentler and more comfortable for your skin.


INCREASED TEMPERATUREOne side effect may be repeated hot flashes, where your face can become moist and feel greasy and uncomfortable if you wear a greasy day creme. This is why you should choose a light and effective day creme to make sure your skin is well protected. For enhanced well-being, choose a deodorant that prevents unpleasant body odour and perspiration.

SQUALANE OIL Squalane occurs naturally in the skin, but the level decreases with age and due to the accumulated sun damage to which the skin has been exposed over time.

A lack of squalane causes dryness and a lack of elasticity of the skin.

The squalane oil in the cremes penetrates deep into the skin and replaces the squalane in the damaged or aged skin, thus normalising the skin’s natural ability to retain moisture – in the same way as younger skin does.

VITAMIN A In Beauté Pacifique’s skin care products, we use vitamin A esters, which are stable types of vitamin A that do not cause the redness that has been seen in other vitamin A types. Vitamin A esters stimulate the skin cells to regenerate the lost collagen fibre structure, and repair damage caused by ageing and exposure to the sun by stimulating the produc-tion of collagen and elastin. This makes the skin stronger, thicker and more robust.


WATER It is a myth that you should avoid products with a high water content.

The skin’s contact with water helps moisture to penetrate deep into the skin and helps the skin to function normally, making the most of the other powerful ingredients con-tained in the products.
