hatever last year may have looked like, God Wsays that He wants you to forget the former

things. He wants to give you a new beginning

and a fresh start. A new beginning is the start of a new

season; the start of a new era for you. The difference

between the carnal man and the spiritual man is that the

carnal man operates by his senses while the spiritual man

operates by faith. God wants you to believe Him. Only God

can give you a new beginning (Psalm 113:7-9). The

righteous man falls seven �mes and rises again because

God empowers him to do so and chooses to give him a

new season. (Proverbs 24:16). We are not of them that

are terrified or fearful. Your business and career will rise

again. Your la�er end will be greater (Job 8:7).

EXAMPLES OF PEOPLE WHOM GOD GAVE A NEW

BEGINNING:l Moses ran from Egypt because of a singular mistake

he made, but God brought him back and made him

the prophet that brought the children of Israel out of

Egypt. The devil may have suggested to Moses during

his 40 years in the wilderness that it was over for him. l Rahab was a pros�tute but God gave her a new

beginning and made it such that she became part of

the genealogy of Jesus. l David commi�ed adultery and murder yet God gave

him a new beginning. Never allow anyone who did

not create you become the voice that speak

discouragement into your life. The only person that

is authorised to speak about your future is the One

that made you. You are valuable in the sight of your

Maker. Do not let the circumstances of your life

determine your value. Your life is not dictated by

what you do, where you work or what you have. Your

life is defined by your connec�on with the Almighty

God. God is the po�er and we are the clay (Jeremiah 18:1-5). As

long as you are s�ll in the hands of the po�er, He will

always give you new beginnings that you never imagined.

It is not what the clay wants but what the po�er wants. It

is about His purpose for your life. You can’t invent your

life purpose ; you discover His purpose for your life and

then draw strength from Him to fulfil it.

WHEN YOU NEED A NEW BEGINNING:l When you have experienced failure in your life.l When you are living is rebellion and sin.The new beginning that we are talking about is a new

beginning that is a season of new results, new

opportuni�es and new things (Luke 5:1-11).

KEYS TO ACTUALIZING A NEW BEGINNING:l Embrace Jesus Christ:It is not enough to be part of church and not have a living

connec�on with Jesus. It is through Jesus that you can

have a new beginning with God. You cannot come on your

own merit or your own terms; you have to embrace Jesus.

Let your connec�on with Jesus be closer than ever before. l Change the way you think:You can't think old and have new. If you want new you

have to think new. You need a new heart, a new

perspec�ve and a new a�tude (Romans 12:2). Let Him

transform you into a new person by changing the way you

think.
