e are three students of EDHEC Business School and are the team of Terre à l’An Vert. We want to focus on social economy (fair trade, microfinance…).
Our objective is to work with 8 to 10 companies and NGOs that support social economy values in developing countries.
We offer you an opportunity to monitor and promote the efficiency and results of your action. We will leave from Paris in January 2007 for a nine-month tour through Africa, South-East Asia and South America.
Welcome in our Solidar tour !

erre à l’An Vert is a non profitable organization whose mission is to promote sustainable development through three different goals:
To be involved in the debate:
• On our return, we will organize a cycle of lectures in European universities.• To share our experience with students, teachers and our partners, we will present our documentary film and an overall presentation of our assignments.
In the field:
• To identify and study the concrete actions led by companies and NGOs in terms of sustainable development.• To highlight social and environmental benefits of these projects and provide them online publicity.
To sensitize young people to global concern:
• To give a sense of responsibility to pupils and to make them understand the stakes of sustainable development: we met 500 pupils through 16 lectures.• To devise teaching aids on sustainable development: we made two brochures and an educational board game.[Granted by the “Fondation Nicolas Hulot”].

A nine-month tour through Africa, South-east Asia and South
America, from January to October 2007 during which we will
meet social economy daily actors. To carry out missions for NGOs, associations:
Fair trade cooperatives audits,Market studies,Sourcing,Photo and video reports on the visited programs. To relay the actions of NGOs by publishing articles, newsletters, log books,
on our regularly updated website (cf. www.terrealanvert.org).
An example:
Nowadays, daily products sold in grocery stores in Asian shanty towns are more and more packaged. That leads to a both ecologic and social issue : huge pollution and local poverty.
We will work with Entrepreneurs du Monde to see how to implement a new way of retailing by selling in bulk to tackle this problem. In practical terms, we will do market studies in Calcutta, Phnom Penh, Jakarta and Manila.
