BÉTON PROVINCIALBéton Provincial offers a wide range of high-quality concrete products for ambitious construction projects. Specializing

in ready-mixed, precast or bituminous concrete, crushed stone and aggregate, Béton Provincial stands out by

providing unrivaled service and high-quality modern and durable products.

Today, Béton Provincial is present in all Eastern Canada and has over 75 ready-mixed concrete plants, 15 paving plants,

5 precast concrete megaplants and more than 20 portable computerized concrete plants, as well as a large number

of quarries, gravel pits and sand pits. The company also possesses an impressive fleet of over 385 ready-mix trucks

as well as conventional road transport equipment.

Our ultra-modern precast concrete plants produce in a controlled environment custom products and manufacture

pipes, rectangular or vaulted culverts, safety barriers, manholes and many other large precast concrete structures.

Our production facilities have recently been significantly enlarged, increasing our production capacity. This enables

us to respond to more larger infrastructure renovation projects at the same time. We have been able to adapt

ourselves to many more demanding standards and to match up to any engineering challenge proposed. Our facilities

enable us to manufacture and manipulate pieces up to 60 metric tons.

RECTANGULAR CULVERTS Our modern facilities and knowledge enable us to realize all types of rectangular culverts with gussets for the M.T.Q.

projects.

More than 7 of our rectangular vaulted culverts without gussets are homologated by severals agencies such as the

Ministère des Transports du Québec. The advantages with these products include: increasing the hydraulic area and

simplifying the installation of the culvert using the factory-installed rubber gaskets on the joints.

VAULTED CULVERTS (POLYVOÛTE™)A vaulted culvert (polyvoûte) is a precast engineered structure developped by our engineering team. It significantly reduces

worksite execution time and cost. The culvert is fabricated in a quality controlled environment and under ideal conditions

to achieve and even get over required design.

VAULTED CULVERTS (MATIÈRE™) Matière is a patented technology used to manufacture vaulted structures with

spans over 20 meters and lengthwise and crosswise fracturing. For close to 20

years, more than 8000 structures have been built using this patented tech-

nology. Matière concept is especially suited for constructing:

› Cut and cover tunnels

› Underpass structures

› Hydraulic purpose structures

› Outlet artworks

OPTI-CADRES (CLOSED CELL OR RIGID FRAME) This reinforced precast concrete structure has a range of dimensions

that can reach 10-meters span.

STRUCTURES (MASSIFS) Structures are factory produced to meet specifications and tolerances (in mm) and delivered to the worksite. This facilitates

and speeds up installation, helping reduce lost work time and lower overall budget.

Recently, it took less than 15 minutes to install a 44-ton structure for an important highway project in Quebec on Henri IV

boulevard. The installation time that was saved minimized the inconveniences to drivers on this heavily travelled artery. The

industry is very sensitive to this issue and concerned about limiting lane closures on large thoroughfares.

The precast concrete structures eliminate the inconveniency and delay resulting of temperature conditions or curing period.

HYDRODYNAMIC SEPARATORSThe concept of hydrodynamic separation is used to minimize pollution generated

by rainwater. The drain intercepts and accumulates contaminated deposits, oils

and other runoff-water sediments when it’s raining or when snow is melting.

The process protects against spills and other toxic discharges of hydrocarbons

into the rainwater drainage system. It is able to capture more than 80% of annual

sediment and hydrocarbon loads.

In fact, it is very efficient at protecting the ground water and other waterways.

TER-VOILE TECHNOLOGY (RETAINING WALLS) Ter-Voile technology is a soil-retaining system, a cellular geostructure that is approved by the Ministère des Transports

du Québec.

The facing is made of precast concrete modules or metallic mesh and the retaining system is supported by galvanized

steel anchors. This system is known for being very stable and it’s rapidity of installation.

Ter-Voile technology has been used in numerous major projects in Eastern Canada throughout recent years, including work on

› Highways 5 and 50 in Outaouais

› Highways 20 and 85 in the lower St. Lawrence

› The interchange of highways 25 and 440 in Laval

MANHOLES, CATCH BASINS AND RECTANGULAR CHAMBERSThese precast products are available in standard dimensions, but it can also be custom made to your project speci-

fications. We have increased our production capacity in order to match with the ever increasing demand for these

products in Eastern Canada.

SAFETY BARRIERS “NEW-JERSEY” TYPE(STANDARD, REINFORCED, DOCKABLE) We manufacture large quantities of safety barriers in all our plants. They are easily available for rent, or they can be

purchased. We have 3.66 m, 1.8 m and 1.2 m standard barriers (GS1000). We also have 4 m safety barriers with

“I” connections. They are all certified to meet CSA standards. Many types of barriers are produced in our precast plants.

They’re available rapidly for purchase or leasing, the standard type is offered in 1.2 m, 1.8 m and 3.66 m. Same dimensions

are available in the reinforced type. The “I-lock” type is used on the M.T.Q. jobsites and the dockable version is mandatory

on bridge work. Every model is subject to C.S.A. specifications.
