in our health system’s budget and operations. By listening to the concerns of our physicians and staff, speaking to our patients and staying abreast of our communities’ health, our care network can plan for the future — assessing where dollars are best spent and how far they can stretch. But sometimes, the need is too great. The asks are too many. And so, we turn our gaze outward, looking beyond the walls of our hospital for the funding that will propel our health system forward. Because of you, we’ve brought key technology acquisitions to health systems reaching across the mountains of Virginia and the shores of the Carolinas. Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation builds the Novant Health Hemby Children’s Emergency Department.

BrunswickNovant Health Brunswick Medical Center is a

state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of Brunswick County. The medical center offers a comprehensive range of services, including emergency, heart and vascular, imaging, laboratory, diabetes care, pain management, orthopedics, respiratory, rehabilitation, stroke and neurosciences, surgical, maternity and women’s health.

Greater Charlotte marketLocated in Charlotte, North Carolina, Novant Health

Presbyterian Medical Center is best known for providing specialized diagnostic services and treatment programs to heart and cancer patients. The hospital’s commitment to quality care has garnered numerous awards, including designation as a level III trauma center and honors in radiology, mammography, pathology and laboratory services. The medical center is home to Novant Health Hemby Children’s Hospital, which provides patients access to cutting-edge treatment and clinical trials.

Founded in 1976, Novant Health Charlotte Orthopedic Hospital is the region’s only orthopedic hospital. It has earned many national distinctions, including disease-specific care certification for its hip fracture, hip replacement, knee replacement, laminectomy and spinal fusion programs.

Since 1994, Novant Health Matthews Medical Center has provided families in Matthews, North Carolina, and surrounding counties with a wide range of cancer, cardiovascular, surgical, maternity, outpatient and diagnostic services. The mecial center has earned some of the nation’s top honors in quality care, including mammography, cancer care, pathology and breast health.

Scheduled to open in 2018, Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Center will serve the needs of families in the Mint Hill, North Carolina community with close-to-home, convenient access to a full-service community hospital. Once complete, the medical campus will include the new Mint Hill Medical Center, physician plaza and Novant Health Mint Hill Medical Office Building, which opened in November 2016.

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Foundation establishes the Women’s and Children’s Outreach Initiative.

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation commits $2.5M to renovating the nurses’ break rooms and locker rooms at Forsyth Medical Center.

2017

Marathon runner. Frequent hiker. Cancer survivor. After undergoing treatment for stage 3 rectal cancer, Judy Caswell is in remission — and back to the activities she loves.

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation commits more than $1M to renovating the labor and delivery rooms at Forsyth Medical Center.

RowanNovant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, North

Carolina is a 268-bed hospital offering a wide range of healthcare services in emergency, maternity, surgery, cancer, rehabilitation and other specialty care. Throughout the years, the hospital has undergone substantive growth, becoming a major medical campus with an extensive outpatient services center.

Greater Winston-Salem marketNovant Health Forsyth Medical Center is a 921-

bed hospital in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Widely regarded for its commitment to exceptional care, the hospital’s Centers of Excellence include the Rehabilitation Center, Maya Angelou Women’s Health and Wellness Center, Heart and Vascular Institute, Derrick L. Davis Cancer Center, Stroke and Neurosciences Center, Orthopedic Center and Behavioral Health Clinic.

Opened in 2013, Novant Health Clemmons Medical Center offers emergency, imaging, laboratory and surgical services, as well as primary care and specialty clinics housed in a spacious new medical office building. A recent expansion added 36 hospital beds, more operating rooms, advanced imaging and orthopedic services, a transitional care unit and an infusion center.

Located in the heart of the Triad, Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center is a community hospital dedicated to emergency, surgery, cardiovascular, diagnostic and cancer care delivered close to home. The Center has received national honors for its mammography, oncology, diabetes management and bariatric services.

A leader in laser, robotic and laparoscopic surgery, Novant Health Medical Park Hospital is a 22-bed facility that specializes in elective inpatient and outpatient procedures. The hospital’s highly skilled team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses and technicians perform more than 12,000 elective surgeries per year, many using the minimally invasive, state-of-the-art daVinci Surgical System.

Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center Foundation establishes the breast health fund and brings mobile mammography to Brunswick County.

Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center Foundation begins $30M capital campaign supporting the construction of the John M. and Claudia W. Belk Heart and Vascular Institute and Edward I. and Agnes B. Cancer Institute

2013

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Foundation funds the installation of crib cameras, lovingly referred to as Angel Eyes, on NICU cribs.

ThomasvilleNovant Health Thomasville Medical Center is a

state-of-the-art hospital that provides quality care to Davidson County residents. In addition to a wide range of inpatient, outpatient and emergency services, the hospital boasts national designation as a Total Joint Center of Excellence and Sleep Disorders Center of Excellence.

VirginiaNovant Health partnered with UVA Health System to form Novant Health UVA Health System in 2016. Headquartered in Manassas, Virginia, the network is comprised of three medical centers that provide groundbreaking clinical trials along with primary, urgent and subspecialty care.

Novant Health UVA Health System Haymarket Medical Center is a 60-bed community hospital that offers services in emergency, surgery, imaging, women’s and children’s health, cancer care and rehabilitation.

Novant Health UVA Health System Prince William Medical Center is a 130-bed community hospital that offers services in emergency, heart and vascular, orthopedics and spine, imaging, women’s and children’s health, cancer care, fitness and wellness, rehabilitation, behavioral health, wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Notably, the medical center has earned accreditation for its radiology, mammography, cancer care, pathology and rehabilitation.
