A FAMILY PERSPECTIVE
To experience the peace which Christ promises we must shed our grudges, jealousy and feelings of being misunderstood, unappreciated or ignored. Peace and anger don’t mix. Today’s gospel warns, if you want peace in your heart and home, get rid of your anger. Anger is too costly.

Angelus
V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
R. And she conceived of the Holy Spirit.
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and the hour of our death. Amen
V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
R. Be it done unto me according to Your word.
Hail Mary, etc…
V. And the Word was made flesh,
R. And dwelt among us.
Hail Mary, etc…
V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: Pour forth, we beseech You, O Lord, Your grace into our hearts; that, as we have known the incarnation of Christ, Your Son, by the message of an angel, so by His passion and cross, we may be brought to the glory of His
resurrection, through the same Christ, our Lord. Amen

~ Letter from Bishop Mark Brennan to St. Stephen ~
Feb. 9, 2020 Dear Father Thomas and St. Stephen parishioners, Thank you for the hanging dish by Blenko Glass and the woodcat of your church that you gave me. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit last Saturday night to your parish. It was a great pleasure to get to know you on your “home turf”. I look forward to returning! May the Lord bless you all and inspire you to live your faith so ardently that you attract many of your neighbors to Christ and his Church.
Sincerely in Christ, Bishop Mark Brennan
