Adopt-a-Family Program

As we review 2010, we are humbled by the favor God has shown us for 29 years,

and we are pleased to report, “The Miracle Continues.” Following the year when we

proactively addressed the economic downturn with salary freezes, layoffs, and program

scrutiny, we served 142 families in 2010 without cutting programs or services. Amid

uncertainty, struggle and loss, and the economy impacting our donors and donations, we

closed the year with our annual Christmas meal and Nativity story - and Hope arrived.

Our Lady’s Inn was poised to begin our 'second story.' Although diffi cult fi nancial times

would not indicate program expansion, God’s timing was perfect to expand the Twice

Blessed Resale Shop after Our Lady's Inn won an entrepeneurial competition through

Washington University's Skandalaris Competition. Twice Blessed not only utilizes our

generous donations, but also provides work experience for our clients and volunteer

opportunities for our supporters. “Lunch and Learn” events, held at the beautiful wineries

near our location in Defi ance, have brought to us many new friends who have enriched

our programs, provided meals, equipment, training skills and countless other blessings.

We also conquered the challenge of a non-working septic fi eld through the sacrifi cial

time and talent of Board member Walt Schuster and the God-send of special tax monies

from St. Charles County. Finally, the professional and devoted staff of Our Lady's Inn

were blessed to witness former clients return with intact families, pursuing degrees,

sending their children off to college, and leading productive, faith-fi lled lives. The mission

of Our Lady's Inn must continue; our story is still unfolding. Our 30th Anniversary began

in January, 2011 and we are grateful to our faithful benefactors, whose generous

support has written our history. We thank God for each of you, and ask His guidance to

engage a new generation in our mission. Together, we will write new stories of hope and

help; the 'second stories’ of the miracle of life that is Our Lady’s Inn.

Missouri Maternity Home Tax Credits are Still Available A 50% Missouri Maternity Home Tax Credit is available for all donations of $100 or more, up to $100,000. For more information, please contact Tammy at 314-351-4590 or email her at tduncan@ourladysinn.org. These credits can be used for any monetary donation over $100, including the Capital Campaign. So, when you are trying to decide how much to give or pledge, remember to consider the impact the 50% tax credit will have on reducing your Missouri tax liability come tax time!
