Our Middle East Trade Product
September 11, 2019
Hapag-Lloyd is strategically positioned to support the growing demands of the Middle East market.
The network has been designed to offer optimal geographic coverage from main growing markets by
offering full connectivity options from Europe and the Middle East.
For North Europe, our IOS and IO2 services provide weekly direct calls in Rotterdam, Antwerp,
Hamburg, London Gateway and Le Havre. The new Le Havre call on the IOS service offers one of the
best direct services into the Red Sea.
For South Europe, our GEM and IMX services provide a weekly coverage for Italy, Spain and France
plus a dedicated offering for Turkey. Both services now offer a direct weekly call to Hamad.
Our new IEX service is the only dedicated, direct connection between South East India and Europe.
With this service we open up new doors for our customers on emerging markets within the Indian
Subcontinent. Moreover, the IEX service will offer an optimized connectivity to and from Bangladesh.
To cater to the dynamics of the Intra Regional trade between the Middle East and Indian Sub-Continent,
we offer a competitive range of service offerings on our direct all water services plus a varied product
offering, which utilizes the well-established connections in our transshipment hubs in the region.
Besides these dedicated services, we also offer a comprehensive service coverage to/from Asia and also
to/from North America, with seamless connections via major transshipment hubs.
Supported by our strong local expertise, our network coverage offers an exclusive gateway into the region
with the capacity to facilitate the requirements of our customers.
We are dedicated to offer you with excellent service and product delivery representing the interest of a
growing market. 2
