“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.” - 1 C 12:4-6 All of us are blessed, regardless of our own individual circumstances. God has given each of us many gifts. How we use those gifts is our individual Stewardship. For God’s plan to work, each must do what we are called to do. Guess what? We are not all called to do the same thing! For God’s plan to work you have to do what God is calling you to do and I have to do what God is calling me to do.

PENTECOST SUNDAY GLORIA Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory, Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us. For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in the glory of God the Father. Amen FIRST READING: When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were. Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim. Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language. They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, “Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans? Then how does each of us hear them in his native language? We are Parthians, Medes, and Elamites, inhabitants of Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the districts of Libya near Cyrene, as well as travelers from Rome, both Jews and converts to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs, yet we hear them speaking in our own tongues of the mighty acts of God.” The Word of the Lord R. Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM RESPONSE: R. Lord, send out your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth.

SECOND READING: Brothers and sisters: No one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit. There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord; there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone. To each individual the manifestation of the Spirit is given for some benefit. As a body is one though it has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though many, are one body, so also Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free persons, and we were all given to drink of one Spirit. The Word of the Lord R. Thanks be to God.

GOSPEL: R. Alleluia, alleluia. Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love R. Alleluia, alleluia.

PENTECOST SUNDAY

GOSPEL: On the evening of that first day of the week, when the doors were locked, where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them, “Peace be with you.” When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. The disciples rejoiced when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” And when he had said this, he breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit. Whose sins you forgive are forgiven them, and whose sins you retain are retained.” The Gospel of the Lord. R. Praise to you Lord, Jesus Christ

PROFESSION OF FAITH - NICENE CREED I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten not made, consubstantial with the Father; through Him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation He came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen.

PERPETUAL ADORATION ONE HOUR WITH GOD

“High above all nations is the Lord, above the heavens, His glory.” (Ps. 113) Come into the presence of our Eucharistic Jesus and ask Him to continue to send the Holy Spirit to all those who seek Him. When we talk to Jesus we talk to the Father and the

Spirit for they are one. For this we need our faith and wisdom. Ask the Spirit to remain with His church eternally for all the world to accept.

ADORERS, OFFER ONE HOUR THIS WEEK FOR ALL WHO ARE BEING CONFIRMED; FOR ALL WHO ARE

CHOOSING THE CATHOLIC FAITH; AND FOR ALL WHO DO NOT HAVE A FAITH.

The Spring Sprint Needs You The race is on with a “Spring Sprint for Scholarships” for the South Jersey Scholarship Fund (SJSF). By June 30, the Board of Trustees for the Fund hopes to raise $50,000 for scholarships to help families stay in Catholic schools. Schools rely on a combination of sources – including fundraisers, individual donors, local scholarships, contributions from parishes, and a distribution from the SJFS – to meet financial aid needs. In the current school year, the unmet need was nearly $2 million. Catholic schools have been in session full-time, in-person since September 2020, safely meeting the educational and social needs of children and families. Your support can help more families afford that option in the coming school year. To learn more about the fund and donate, visit https://16042.thankyou4caring.org/south-jersey-scholarship-fund or call the diocesan Development office at (856) 583-6126.

The Hyde Amendment and similar laws have protected taxpayers from funding elective abortion for 45 years. Now, powerful members of Congress want to take away these laws that both Democrats and Republicans have supported for nearly half a century. Without it, millions of taxpayer dollars could be used to pay for abortion. That means abortions would be cheaper, easier, and funded with our taxpayer dollars. It is critically important for Catholics to send a strong

message before Congress moves forward to impose taxpayer funded abortion. You can raise awareness and sign the petition at: https://www.notaxpayerabortion.com . In addition to signing the online petition, direct letter-writing campaigns to our Senators and Representatives is needed.
