Dates to Remember

3rd Sunday of Advent “Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God.” (Philippians 4:6-7) St. Paul reminds us that our God is an abundant God, the ultimate giver of gifts. He promises to give us all that we need. When we trust that God will take care of us, it is easier for us to share what we have been given.

A Note From the Mary and Martha Soup Kitchen… Dear Father Dennis, Once again you and your wonderful parishioners have enormously helped the Mary and Martha Soup Kitchen with your generous food donations. As you may know, we were devastated by Hurricane Sandy, were without power for many weeks, lost a good deal of frozen meat and were unable to serve our many clients. Thank God and people such as your parishioners, we are up and running again. Thank you also to Mr. Allen Piccininno for stocking the food, then loading the cars for delivery, Ms. Dottie Bogacz and Mrs. Ann Ciriello for delivery and their volunteer work in the Kitchen. There are also several parishioners to whom we are indebted for their generosity and volunteer work. God bless you and your parishioners in all of your en-deavors and generosity. We are really most appreciative. Sincerely, Patricia Bologna, Volunteer Director

Never let your dog off the leash on snow or ice, especially during a snowstorm, dogs can lose their scent and easily be-come lost. More dogs are lost during the winter than during any other season, so make sure yours always wears ID tags.

May peace be your gift at Christmas and

your blessing all year through!

Holy Father’s Prayer Intention for December That migrants throughout the world may be welcomed with generosity and authentic love, especially by Chris-tian communities.

ACT OF CONTRITION

My God, I am sorry for my sins with all my

heart. In choosing to do wrong and failing to

do good, I have sinned against you whom I

should love above all things. I firmly intend,

with your help, to do penance, to sin no more,

and to avoid whatever leads me to sin. Our

Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us.

In his name, my God, have mercy.
