Fifth Sunday in Ordinary Time In today’s first reading, the prophet Isaiah calls for a fast that benefits the hungry, the afflicted and the homeless. In the second reading, Paul reminds the Corinthians that he came in weakness with a message of Spirit and power. In the Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples that they are the salt of the earth and light of the world; their faith must shine forth.

Even though the New Evangelization has been stirring for decades, it’s Pope Francis’ words in the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium, that are giving it new vigor. OLMC School News Catholic Schools Week Success! It's hard to believe that it's already 2014! Last week was Catholic Schools Week, and despite having to cancel school on Tuesday due to weather, we had a great week of events and celebration! One big focus of Catholic Schools Week is our 2014-15 school enrollment. Now is the time to begin considering our parish school for your children, grandchildren, and others who would benefit from a Catholic education. As of this week, enrollment is open to new families who may apply for scholarships and admission to the school! Admission and scholarship applications are available now for the 2014-15 school year, and we encourage all parents to begin now in making these important plans for your children. Financial Assistance is available through archdiocesan resources and parish scholarships. The earlier you apply, the more likely assistance will be available! This week only, registration is discounted to just $150! This will help families save some money and help the school to plan and prepare for the coming school year. tenido que cancelar las clases el Martes debido al mal tiempo, tuvimos una gran semana de eventos y celebraciones! Un punto de atención importante en esta Semana de las Escuelas Católicas es nuestra matrícula escolar para el año 2014-2015. Ahora es el momento de empezar a considerar nuestra escuela parroquial para sus hijos, nietos y otras personas que se beneficiarían de una educación católica. A partir de esta semana, la inscripción está abierta para nuevas familias las cuales

pueden solicitar las becas y la admisión a la escuela! Las solicitudes de admisión y de becas están disponibles desde ahora para el año escolar 2014-2015, y animamos a todos los padres a comenzar a hacer desde ya estos importantes planes para sus hijos. La asistencia financiera está disponible a través de recursos provenientes de la arquidiócesis y de becas provenientes de la parroquia.
