FEAST DAY OF OUR LADY OF
MOUNT CARMEL
We will commemorate our Parish Feast
Day on the feast day itself Thursday, July 16th.
We will begin with a procession from the school
to the Church at 7:00pm. Share in the joy as we honor Our Lady of Mount
Carmel, patroness of the Carmelites.
The Priory Office will be closed this Friday, July 3rd
in honor of Independence Day.
There will be one Mass celebrated at 7:00am in the Priory Chapel.
CARMELITE MISSIONS APPEAL
Fr. Simplisio Manyika, O.Carm will join us next weekend,
July 4th & 5th to speak at each Mass about Carmelite
missionary work. Fr. Simplisio is a native Zimbabwean and
has just finished his term as Commissary Provincial of this
young and thriving nation.
He has helped with the missions appeal in the past and is
extremely knowledgeable about the missions.
The Carmelites respond to the call to love one anther
through prayer and action by establishing ministries where
there is the greatest need.
This year the hope is that the missions will be of continued
help to the victims of the terrible typhoon in the Philippines.
Your generosity to support the Carmelite Friars’ missionary
work will be greatly appreciated.

Education forms to the Religious Education office.
Classes will be filled on a first come basis.
If you have a child entering K or 1st grade in
September it’s time to begin their formal religious
instruction. Forms and information are available in the
communications center in the Gathering Area of the
Church. Please provide us with a copy of the child’s
Baptismal certificate. If baptism is needed please contact
Mrs. Miller to make arrangements.
If you have an older child, that has never attended
instruction we also have a program for you. !

CATECHISTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL
CONFIRMATION PREPARATION
The Religious Education Program is seeking college age
young people who may be interested in becoming
catechists in our new High School Confirmation
Preparation program. A desire to help others grow in
faith is essential. The program begins in September and
will be held on Monday evenings. Training and materials
are provided. For more information on this new Ministry

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL
Monday July 13th thru Friday July 17th
9 am to 12 noon each day An entire week of bible stories, crafts, music, games, delicious snacks, t-shirt, a music CD and more. You get this all for $25 per child. That’s $5 a day!!

SUMMER OFFICE HOURS: The school office will be open Monday-Thursday from 9:00am to 12:30pm. The office will be closed on
Friday. If you need to get to reach someone from the school you can always call and leave a message your call
will be returned. MT. CARMEL REGISTRATION: Registration for the 2014-2015 school year continues. We have
openings in our PK3/4 program and in grades 1-8. There are scholarships available to families who qualify in
grades K-6. If you are interested in getting information about the school, having a tour and/or obtaining a regis-
tration packet, please call the Main Office number below.

MEMORIAL PADRE GOLF TOURNAMENT
The 27th Annual Fr. Forrester Memorial Padre Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Carmelite Friars, will be held on Monday, July 27th at the West Hills Country Club in Middletown, NY. The $150.00 fee is all inclusive and begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 9:30am. The fee also includes: lunch, golf, greens fees, golf cart, and door prizes! You may also come to the dinner for $60. Advance registration is required. Journals ads cost $25, $50 or $100. Raffle tickets are also available.
