Our Lady of Fatima - Waikanae
St Patrick’s - Paraparaumu
Dear Parishioners,
What a beautiful Gospel – John 4:5-42 – the Samaritan woman and Jesus.
He is tired from the journey and tired from his ministry to the many.
She is tired also – so many husbands and partners – her life is a mess.
Jesus does not look at the messiness of any person’s life.
He merely looks into the heart and offers us living water – intimacy with God.
At the well the Samaritan woman becomes a disciple who sees possibilities.
Likewise us - when we rest beside his healing waters in Gospel prayer. + + +
At the Masses in Waikanae this weekend - and next weekend at Paraparaumu - I will be talking about forming a Development Group to look at the future needs and development of Our Lady of Kāpiti Parish. The terms of reference and membership of this group will be established over the next two weeks and communicated to the parishioners and the group will have its first meeting after Easter. Father Michael McCabe Parish Priest

PLEASE SEE NOTICE BOARD IN CHURCH FOYER FOR ALL EVENTS IN THE ARCHDIOCESE
NOTICE TO ALL PLANNED GIVERS
To maximise the benefits of the tax rebate which applies for Planned Givers your programme would ideally need to be brought up to date by:
Sunday 30 March for envelope planned givers Monday 31 March for automatic payment planned givers
in order to meet banking requirements.
For Planned Givers by way of Envelope
Your set of envelopes to cover the period of 1 April 2014 to 31 March 2015 will be available for collection in the church foyer before and after Mass over
the next two weekends. This helps to keep our costs to a minimum.
If you would like to change from envelope to automatic payment please phone the Parish Office on 902 5815.
If you would like to join the Planned Giving Programme and benefit from the tax rebate of one-third please contact the Parish Office.
Thank you for your continued and generous support of the parish.
Parish Pastoral Council Many thanks to those groups that responded to the request for information and views on priorities to be taken into account in our parish planning. The development of a Pastoral Plan is a key task of the Parish Pastoral Council to help us to plan for the future. This work, which is now underway, will also
reflect the submissions received during last year’s consultation process. If your group has not yet responded, I would be grateful if you would do so quite soon so that we can gain a full picture of the life of Our Lady of Kapiti.
Blessings, John Butterfield, Chair, Our Lady of Kapiti Parish Pastoral Council
