Our First Getaway For Two is Planned! March 5, 2015 LaVonne Long My son is two and a half and now successfully spending the night at my parent’s house. He doesn’t even miss me! It is such a bittersweet feeling isn’t it? When the kids start getting older and don’t “need” you quite like they used to. The one think my husband and I decided was that once the kids were old enough to both stay at my parent’s house, he and I would start traveling more together. Alone. Traveling with my husband alone, without my kids? That sounds amazing! Now, don’t get me wrong. I love my kids and we’ve had some amazing family travels. But to go on a trip for three nights with my husband this summer to Austin, Texas? I simply cannot wait. I’m already thinking of the items I want to pack. I am sure it will be warm in Austin this summer. So summer dresses, swimsuits, and sandals are essential. What’s awesome is I can fit all of my items in a carry-on. Whenever I don’t have to check luggage, is a good travel experience for me!
