The Hunt for Red October (1990)In 1984, Captain Marko Ramius, the skipper of the USSR’s newest nuclear submarine, defects and heads for the U.S. in an attempt to prevent the Soviets from wreaking nuclear war on them. Jack Ryan of the CIA is on his tail in the hunt for Red October.“A great day comrades, we sail into history!”



Jaws (1975)Amity Island is being terrorised by a Great White Shark that has taken to feasting on people. As fear spreads, a police chief, a scientist and an old fisherman take to the waters to hunt down the beast before he claims any more lives.“You’re gonna need a bigger boat.”

Master and Commander (2003)During the Napoleonic Wars of

1805, Captain Jack Aubrey is given orders to track and capture a French Privateer named Acheron. As the H.M.S. Surprise is smaller and slower than the French vessel, the task seems almost impossible.

Crimson Tide (1995)As the Russian civil wars

worsens, the U.S. Navy is activated due to fears of a nuclear fallout. In an attempt to avert attack on the U.S., Commander Hunter and Captain Ramsey are aboard a nuclear missile submarine where tensions begin to run high.

The Old Man and the Sea (1990)When an old fisherman goes

out on a fishing trip, he manages to make a huge catch, his biggest yet. As he drags the great fish back to shore, he is pursued by sharks looking for an easy meal. By the time he returns, his catch is little more than a pile of bones.

“Fish, I love you and respect you very much. But I will kill you dead before this day ends.”



Moby Dick (1956)Captain Ahab is hell-bent

on revenge years after losing his leg to a huge whale, Moby Dick. He uses his crew and ship to hunt down the great white whale, so desperate to kill it that he is prepared to sacrifice everything to destroy his nemesis.

“That ain’t no whale; that a great white god.”
