Short description of tasks
The pupils took part in a languages and citizenship based film making project, “Our Europe”. They
had to come up with an idea for a film, based on how being a European citizen affects them as

Quotes from teachers
I thoroughly enjoyed working on the “Our Europe” film making
project as it gave the pupils the chance to discuss and learn about
important issues affecting many different countries. They were
also able to learn new skills that they would not normally be able
to learn in school. (Teacher )

My opinion• I think this project was a great opportunity for the pupils to be aware of
the importance of being European citizenship, especially now, in the
“Brexit time”. They had the chance to understand how important is to
know a foreign language in order to travel and communicate around
the world and this project made them feel more confident in Italian.
• It was also important for them to share their ideas and to experience a
team work, which will be useful also in their future.
• I must say that students were not the only ones who have learnt
something thanks to this project. I have learnt how to interact with
pupils in a better way, how to make them understand the importance
of languages and, of course, I have learnt more about the Scottish
language, just a “wee bit”!
