Last week we heard Brooks Armstrong speak on her work in Kyrgyzstan. We ate a snack made from horse milk! (ask the kids about it!). We are looking for ways to partner with her and her students this year. Please pray for opportunities for her in this Muslim country. We are also praying with our children for the 10 most important times to pray, and last week we were reminded to pray as we start the day off. Today we are reminded to pray at bed time. There is something special about bed time prayers. It can have a powerful impact in your child’s life. Help your child keep a list of things her or he is praying for and rejoice when prayers are answered. Sign up for Centri Kid and SMACK camp will be Sunday, January 26, right aſter the morning worship service in the fellowship hall. There is a limited amount of kids that we can take to both camps. A $50 registration fee is required for both camps. We will talk about camp costs and how to help you with this at the meeting. Children’s Mission Day is on February 12 and our children will reach out with 12 different ministry activities on February 12. Watch for more information about this day later. Calendar cards have been mailed this week with dates for events from now until the end of the summer. Put this card somewhere to help you keep up with the activities, or take a picture of it and keep it on your phone! Remember to make plans to attend the parenting event “Are My Kids on Track” on Sunday, February 23. You will not want to miss this all day seminar with help on raising your children and teens. One of the session topics is “Raising Worry Free Kids.” There will be separate activities for all age children. Watch each week for information on this special day. Sally Kate Winters Park is in need of some renovation work on the gazebo and wisteria posts. The Growth Alliance has begun a “Pennies for the Park” campaign of which our children can help with. There is a jar with flowers around it (outside the Fellowship Hall) that you can donate pennies to help this cause. Our children use this park for egg hunts, sing- ings, and more. This is an easy ministry project that we can help with! Working for Him, Thea Kay ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING Tonight, January 15 - 6:00 p.m. OUR CHURCH FOOD PANTRY... is running low on items again.
