Our goal is to arm youwith utility and entertain-ment as well as the vitalpocketbook news you needto help you through yourbusy life.
Our mission is uniquebecause we have bet theranch on the fact good newsis good business.
The Atlantic News hasbeen in circulation for 35years. My wife of 24 years,Michelle, and I have ownedthe paper for just two years. We have 13 employees, all ofwhich are local citizens. Wehave an office in Hamptonand we are available any-time during the businessweek.
During our ownership,we have taken bold, positiveand dynamic steps toimprove the paper to reflectthe communities we serve. We think reader first, and
advertiser second. And the irony is we rely
solely on the advertiser topay our bills, because webelieve that the free pressshould be just that: free!
In doing so, we haveshaped our business plan toanswer the perpetual, waryquestion for the advertiserwhen they ask, "Just who doyou reach?"
Our answer: Everybody, and then some! And we'llsave you dollars in doing so.
Advertisers have told usrepeatedly: be measurable,be inexpensive, and don't beover the top with your newslike the competition. Do thisand we'll come aboard.
Readers have given usoverwhelming approval. Towit, we receive 10-15 calls oremails a day from readerswho want to be added to ourmailing list.
Our message to you, theadvertiser, is simple: wewant to assure you thatwe've taken all the necessarysteps to provide you full-market exposure at a veryinexpensive price so you canafford to reach everybody inthe necessary space you'llneed to tell you compellingstory in print so you can dif-ferentiate and attract the res-idents and visitors to yourbusiness now and over time.
