The Graduate College logo was designed by Hadley Jerman. An Oklahoma State Regents Scholar and member of the University of Oklahoma Honors College, Ms. Jerman graduated from the School of Art in 2003.

The logo embodies the core value of a graduate education at OU while simultaneously capturing the tradition and history of the university with the symbolic representation of one of OU’s many historic archways.

The gate’s pillar represents the strength and support provided by the graduate faculty and staff.

The lamplight on the pillar represents the Beacon that will guide students along their educational journey.

The arch represents the entrance to knowledge.

The bottom and right sides of the arch entrance are stylized to represent a G. Therefore, the arch as a G represents the entrance to graduate knowledge.
