■ The previous event (April 2016) provided many screening opportunity for the submitted (short) films, that were open to the public.

■ This accessibility and publicity of the event helped promote these shorts to the local area and attendees – providing some of the production names various opportunities and recognition for their pieces.

~Attendees■ I personally attended the event in 2016, and found students were quite frequently

wandering the area, showing real interest in the submitted pieces. ■ The festival is also supported by two companies: Engine Room/Somerset Film,

and Somerset Rural Youth Project. These two businesses look out for any upcoming talent in festivals such as this so it is important to recognise that some of their team may have been present on the day to look for potential.

■ Also, the various producers/teams who worked on submitted films also attended the event, and if not the award evening following the 2 day festival.
