Wayne graduated from the Bri2sh School of Osteopathy (BSO) London, in 1985.

He is the Director of CPD Health Courses, which provides Dry Needling Educa2on to Manual Therapists in Australia. He is also an Osteopath & Acupuncturist at the Sports & Spinal Group, Melbourne.

In 1987 he migrated to Australia to take up the posi2on of Head of Clinical Studies at RMIT University, Melbourne. As part of this role he lectured in the areas of Biomechanics, Clinical Methods, Orthopaedics & Osteopathic Manual Therapy & later con2nued his teaching career as a Senior Lecturer in Osteopathic Manipula2on Technique at Victoria University, Melbourne.

Wayne completed a Masters degree in Acupuncture from RMIT University in 2001. As part of his Masters Degree he completed a thesis 2tled: Acupuncture treatment of Insomnia.

Wayne has been a guest lecturer for the Australian Osteopathic Associa2on Con2nuing Educa2on Program and was the President of his professional body between 1990-1992.

Wayne is also a Cer2fied Myofascial Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT), having completed a 120-hour Dry Needling Training Program offered by Myopain Seminars (USA).

The CEO of Myopain Seminars is Dr Jan Dommerholt who trained with Dr Janet Travell. Dr Janet Travell is widely accepted as the original pioneer of Myofascial Pain and Trigger Point dysfunc2on. Dry Needling treatment and training began following the groundbreaking work of Dr Travell.

Since comple2ng the (CMTPT) courses in the USA Wayne has invited Dr Jan Dommerholt to teach with him in Australia. Dr Dommerholt and Dr Mahmoud have taught Dry Needling Masterclasses in Australia since 2014.

Dr W Mahmoud has also Dry Needling in Kuwait, Cairo, India, Dubai and the UK.
