Excellent attitude and attendance

Academic standing of no less than a cumulative GPA of 2.8

1. Prepare an essay of no more than 500 words (two pages on double spacing) that provides

specific information and examples of your exceptional leadership skills and attitude. Use the

following 3 subheadings in your essay.

2. Attach two letters of reference. The letters must be written and signed by your instructors or

other appropriate mentors / leaders of CNA-Q.

3. Submit this signed application form, your essay, and your two letters of reference to the

Registrar’s Office no later than 3:00 p.m., Thursday, 19 October 2017.

ORYX GTL Award

Academic Excellence and Achievement in Leadership

ORYX GTL supports and encourages our students in the achievement of both their professional and personal goals. This strategy recognizes the importance of developing Qatar’s human resources and supports the Qatar National Vision 2030. This award is presented in the Fall Semester on the basis of a student’s academic achievement and demonstration of leadership skills at CNA-Q and / or the community. The award consists of a certificate and a gift from ORYX GTL. Criteria: The successful candidate will be a well-rounded individual, exhibiting academic success and exceptional leadership skills at CNA-Q and/or the community. Candidates must have completed at least three (3) semesters in their program of study and be in good standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.8. They must have demonstrated an excellent attitude and attendance. No award will be awarded to a candidate who is the recipient of another scholarship of equal or greater value.

Procedure:

Students who wish to apply for this scholarship must:

Complete an application form (available from the Registrar’s Office),

Attach a statement, maximum 500 words, addressing the selection criteria specified on

the application. Include details of involvement, personal achievements and any

supporting material.

Attach two letters of reference from instructors or other appropriate CNA-Q mentors /

leaders.

Completed applications, along with the supporting documentation must be submitted to the Registrar’s Office no later than 3:00 p.m., Thursday, October 19, 2017. Incomplete applications cannot be considered.
