The Access Control Office is responsiblefor the issuance of Airport Identification Media to individualswho work and require access to the Airport. Process to Obtain Identification Media

An introduction letter must be submitted for each company or agency to the Access Control Office from the sponsoring employer or department that includes all access requirements and the duration of work.

If additional access is required the introduction letters must be updated and forwarded to the Access Control Office.

Process to Obtain Identification Media

Each company is required to submit an Authorized Signature Letter. This letter remains on file in the Access Control Office and is used by the staff to verify signatures on badge applications before an individual will be processed.

The letter must originate from the president or owner of the company. They are to list all of the individuals that are going to be designated as Authorized Signatories and have each designated individual sign the letter.

Process to Obtain Identification Media

Verify Introduction Letter has been sent Establish Authorized Signatories Send Authorized Signatories to Access Control office

to take computer based Signatory training Signatory submits their own badge application (all

Authorized Signatories must be badged) Once badged the Signatory may request access for

employees by certifying and signing applications Responsible for maintaining records of application

requests and completing required audits

Completes application for employer to certify Employee provides required documentation (most

often Driver’s License & S.S. Card) Have fingerprints taken in the Access Control office

for Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) Consent to TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) Once background checks are clear (7-10 days) Employee completes all required computer based

security/driver training in the Access Control office Upon successful completion of training the

employee is issued their airport badge

The Access Control Office is located on the 1st floor of the GOAA Annex Building at the intersection of Cargo and Casa Verde Roads on Airport property.
