The Orlando Dog Training Club’s General Club Meetings are usually held on
the 4th Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. at Florida Hospital Association.
The next Meeting Date is: May 23, 2016
It’s time to start getting ready for the Dog Obedience Clubs of Florida competition which will take place Labor Day Weekend at the Silver Spurs Rodeo Exhibition Hall in Kissimmee/St. Cloud this year. This competition was designed to showcase each club’s training program and the teams for Orlando will be selected using the following criteria:
Any ODTC member interested in being on a team must provide the Training Director with their dog’s show history for 2015 including number of times entered, number of times qualified, scores and placements.
Please email your dog’s registered name, call name, registration number, and jump heights if you wish to be considered. We realize that some novice dogs may have very limited or no showing history, but that is ok – send what you have! And if you have no shows, just say so!
Those wishing to be considered for a team spot are asked to email the requested infor-mation to Linda Unger at [email protected]
Thank You.

CH BEDLAM'S CHAD LION AROUND CDX, RAE, NA, NAJ NOVEMBER 25, 2000 - APRIL 17, 2016 Sadly, Chad has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Along with his AKC titles, Chad also earned multiple UKC and ASCA titles. Chad al-ways gave his all in whatever he attempted. In agility, he may not have been the fastest but he sure did love doing what he did. When he was going for his utility title, I finally had to retire him as he was not able to do his jumps any longer. At that time Laser and Acupuncture was not a big thing like it is today where we can help our dogs feel better. He had been checked out and nothing was found as to why he experienced having a difficulty. Certain moves, he would whimper and that's when I decided to have him checked out thoroughly. I finally decided to retire him and living a more leisure life, he felt better. Chad lived out his remaining years basking in the sun, taking it easy, a life of retirement w/walks and just plain taking it easy. He was always a happy little dog and always ready to please. When he was going for his CD title, first time in the ring, he did a beautiful job. When it came time for groups, he held his sit, but when it came to his down exercise, he did it, except after a minute, he decided to slink his way across the ring, "just like a slinky toy", to me, sat in front of me without breaking a sit. I had told him down, he never got up till he got to me, he stayed down and I guess in his mind he nev-er left the down snaking himself across the ring. He had all in stitches watching this little ball of fur slink his way like a snake. Others in the ring stopped to watch this, and my Judge turned her head so Chad would not see her laughing. This is a Lowchen for you, always adding their own to exercis-es and making you laugh. Always remembering this, never to forget. :-) Bob, whom I lost 7 yrs. ago, always waiting for those that have to cross the Bridge, never alone. In 2015, Shelly, GSD, Service Dog to Bob joined him, then beginning of this year, Casey, Sheltie, little Gabe's dad joined him, and now he was waiting for Chad to join him, to be whole again, romping, jumping, enjoying what he once did. I take care of them here on earth, Bob is now the keeper up in Heaven. He waits at the Bridge for all our dogs to watch over. They are never alone. When we have multiple Sr. dogs, seems to happen this way. I have several other Sr. dogs, Travis, Beardie, Lacie's dad, Stretch the Basset I adopted, yep still w/me at 12 or13, not sure as he was given a new birth date in 2004, Frazier, Lowchen. Hopefully, 3 in a row will do it for a very long time, but all-in-all, am grateful for them being in my life and able to bond with them the way I have. They make my life full. Thank you Chad for being in my life, enjoying you, and for a JOB WELL DONE. Aline and The Gang

MY BOY TRAVIS: December 13, 2002 - April 29, 2016
A farewell to Travis, who passed on Friday, April 29, 2016.
There is an old saying, 1 Bearded Collie, OK. Then you realize 1 of these guys isn't enough, find yourself with another, then anoth-er. Dudley Do-Right was my first Beard-ie. Then came Travis and I now have BED-LAM'S LASS IN THE FAST LANE, BN, RA, CGCA (Lacie, Travis' daughter).
These Beardies are a joy to have, love to work, mischievous at times, also like to laugh at their owners on certain occasions. All-in-all, they are so much fun to work with and have, you just can't do without having more than 1.
Travis came to me at a young age, had a wonderful career in the breed ring, and in competition. He not only earned his AKC titles but also earned multiple UKC and ASCA ti-tles. I also did some agility with Travis, never got around to finishing his NAJ as he was get-ting up there in age and was not doing well with so much jumping, so I decided to retire him from agility. He did however finish his obedi-ence and rally titles.
He will always be in my heart. Now resting in peace and Bob has added one more compan-ion to watch over till I see them again.
Rest in peace my little boy till we meet again.
Thank you for a job well done and for loving me. Love you back.

I am very proud to have bred CH. Night-
hawk's You're Forever Red, CGC with limited
showing won two majors from the 9 to 12
month puppy class for seven points. We
went to Perry, GA. for the Peach Blossom
Cluster and got a 3 point major on the first
day. Red went on to be shown in West
Springfield, Mass. the following week-
end. On Friday he got a 2 point win. He then
went on the very next day to get another 3
point major win. Red finished his Champion-
ship at 14 months old with four major
wins. Red and I are now looking forward to
start working in Rally.

On 4-9 & 4-10, Bedlam's Lass In The Fast Lane earned her Rally Advanced Title w/a 3rd place and 2 Q's, All 3 scores 99, the 2 Q's, she was beat out by time in the placings but I was more interested in get-ting her through as it was her first time in Ad-vance. Consistent in scores, proud of my little Beardie girl.
