ORIOLE DOG TRAINING CLUB July 2018 MINI-SEMINARS WITH DONNA BROWN Wednesday 7/11, 18 & 25/ 2018 Donna Brown will be presenting three mini-seminars this summer. Donna Brown is a highly respected local agility instructor who has competed at National Finals multiple times in both USDAA and AKC agility with her Corgi and Border Collies. She can address the specific needs of handling both small and large dogs. Seminar Information: Handlers can designate a different dog if they are registering for more than one seminar. Preference will be given to those who take the 3 seminar package. Improving Jumping Skills: This seminar is for any performance handler/dog team\s where jumping is part of their sport (Agility, Obedience, & Fly ball). The Susan Salo Jump Grid method will be used. Dogs at both the pre-competition and completion levels can benefit from this seminar. o When – Wednesday, July 11 th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm o Cost – Members: $45 for a working slot for one seminar. If you sign up for all 3 seminars the cost is $120 ($40 for each) Nonmembers: $55 for a working slot for one seminar. If you sign up for all 3 seminars the cost is $150 ($50 for each) o Only 8 working slots available o Seminar Registration - must be received by Monday, July 2 nd . o Improving Agility Handling – Part 1: This seminar will focus on the handler identifying the dog’s commitment points, correct cuing and maintaining a team connection using various agility handling exercises. o When – Wednesday, July 18 th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm o Cost – Members: $45 for a working slot for one seminar. If you sign up for all 3 seminars the cost is $120 ($40 for each) Nonmembers: $55 for a working slot for one seminar. If you sign up for all 3 seminars the cost is $150 ($50 for each) o Only 8 working slots available o Seminar Registration must be received by Monday, July 2 nd . o Improving Agility Handling – Part 2: This seminar will focus on improving handler/dog discrimination skills. Dogs will need to be able to do contact equipment at full height. o When – Wednesday, July 25 th from 6:30 to 9:00 pm o Cost – Members: $45 for a working slot for one seminar. If you sign up for all 3 seminars the cost is $120 ($40 for each) Nonmembers: $55 for a working slot for one seminar. If you sign up for all 3 seminars the cost is $150 ($50 for each) o Only 8 working slots available o Seminar Registration - must be received by Monday, July 2 nd . From the Baltimore Beltway (I-695S): Take Exit 11A-11B as if you are going to go south on I-95. Stay in the farthest RIGHT LANE and take the Sulfur Spring Rd. exit. TURN RIGHT onto Sulphur Spring Rd. At the light TURN RIGHT onto Benson Ave. Go 0.8 miles on Benson Ave and TURN RIGHT onto Knecht Ave. Make an IMMEDIATE LEFT into Azar Ct. From the Baltimore Beltway (I695N): Take Exit 10 – Washington Blvd toward U.S. Route 1. TURN LEFT onto Washington Blvd and get in the RIGHT LANE. TURN RIGHT at the light onto Sulphur Spring Rd. Go 0.7 miles and TURN RIGHT onto Benson Ave. Go 0.8 miles on Benson Ave and TURN RIGHT onto Knecht Ave. Make an IMMEDIATE LEFT into AZAR Ct. From me 95 N or S: Take Exit 50 A-B (Caton Ave). This is the first ext after the exit for I695. Keep to the LEFT TO CONTINUE ON Exit 50B. Follow the signs for N Wilkins Ave. MERGE onto Caton Ave and get into the LEFT LANE. TURN LEFT at the first light – Benson Ave. Go 1.1 miles. TURN LEFT onto Knecht Ave (which is shortly after the firehouse). Make an IMMEDIATE LEFT into Azar Ct.
