Remote maintenance

Run the Airbridge MML Client to query the running state of the

BTS3612 board, measure the performance of the BTS3612 carrier,

query the relevant alarms of the BTS3612 and handle them

correspondingly.

Local maintenance

Use cross-over cables to connect the portable computer with the

RJ45 interface of the BCKM board; and then use the Telnet console

to log on. Then, query the running state of the BTS3612 board, query

relevant alarms of the BTS3612 and handle them correspondingly.

This command is used to reset the specified BTS3612 board.

nd NotInstalled.

Methods for Setting BTS3612 Local Maintenance

Use cross-over network cables to connect the portable

computer with the ETH interface of the BCKM board;

and set the IP address of the portable computer and that

of the BCKM board within the same network section with

the mask of 255.255.0.0.

Log in to the BTS3612 through telnet 172.16.16.16 and

use “system” as either the user name and password to

enter the system.

This command can be used to query the slot IDs and working statuses of boar

ds in the BTS3612 baseband frame. The working statuses include: Enable, D

isable and Absent.

Query BTS Current Alarm (LST CURALM)

This command is used to query the current alarms of the BTS3612 board (i.e.

generated alarms that have not disappeared). A maximum of 20, 000 alarms

(including the current alarms and history alarms) can be saved.

Cell blocking command (BLK BTSCELL)

The function of this command is to block the carrier in a certain sector of a

BTS;

After the cell blocking command is executed, there will be no power output

from BTRM under the carrier of this sector. If there are services under the

carrier of this sector before it is blocked immediately, the services will be

interrupted. In addition, after successful execution of the cell blocking

command, the subscriber cannot be accessed to the carrier of this sector;

When it is necessary to replace BTRM or conduct such operations as repair

on BTRM, please first block the sector carrier where this BTRM is located

and the replace BTRM or conduction other operations;

Channel processing board blocking command (BLK BTSBCPM)

This command is used to block the channel processing board;

For a resource pool, only after all the BCPMs have been blocked ca

n all the carriers in this resource pool be blocked. After all the carriers

in this resource pool have been blocked, all the services at these carr

iers will be interrupted and the subscriber access is unavailable too;

The blocking of the BCPMs may lead to service interruption. Howeve

r, as long as one channel processing board is working normally and h

as not been blocked in the resource pool, this operation will not influe

nce the access of subsequent subscribers.

Unblock BTS Channel Process Module(UBL BTSBCPM)

Unblock the channel processing board;

The services will not be influenced when the channel processing boar

d is unblocked.

Save the current running data of the BTS3612 to the Memory Flash o

f the BCKM board.

actively analyze the network; and to adopt corresponding

solving measures so as to remove hidden troubles in time.



Contents of Monthly MaintenanceContents of Monthly Maintenance Conversation test

Use an MS to dial a number to conduct the conversation test. At the same

time, a person is arranged at the BSC side for observation of whether the

conversation at all the sector carriers is normal. There should be no noise,

call drop or cross talk etc.

Check of the grounding, lightning protection and power supply systems

Check the working state of the grounding system and lightning protection

systems; check whether the connection is reliable, whether the power supply

system is working normally, and whether the lightning arrester is burned.

Please ensure that the power lightning arrester and antenna feeder lightning

arrester are working soundly.

Check of the working state of the antenna feeder part

Check whether there is standing wave ratio alarm, whether the direction of

the antenna support is deviated, and whether the waterproof function of the

feeder cable is normal.

Check of the running state of the secondary power module

Check whether the secondary power module is working normally and

whether there is any alarm.

Measure the output voltage. The range of the output voltage is: -40~-60V Check of the fan running state

Check whether the fan is running normally and whether there is any fan alarm. Besides fan blocking, the failure of the temperature and rotation speed control at the fan monitoring board may also lead to generation of corresponding alarms. Please note to check these alarms.

Drive test

Use a test MS to check the handover and coverage range. Standing wave check

Check whether there are standing wave ratio alarms generated at the antenna feeder through the maintenance console.

Check of alarm collection equipment

Check whether the equipment for collection of such environment alarms as the humidity alarm, temperature alarm and fire alarm is working normal.

Check of equipment room environment

Check whether the temperature, humidity, dust prevention and power supply etc. of the equipment room comply with the requirements. Temperature: -5C~50C ; relevant humidity: 5%~90%.
