JAM score will be used by IISc Bangalore for admission to the integrated Ph.D programmes. JAM score may also be used by some other institutions for admission to their programmes. A candidate can appear in either one Test Paper or two Test Papers by paying an additional fee for the second test paper. MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION(S) FOR ADMISSION In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) should be at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL) category candidates and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates Refer to http://jam.iitb.ac.in and/or the JAM websites of the respective institutes. Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the required eligibility, as specified by the admitting institute, should be submitted by September 30, 2018. ADMISSION PROCEDURE Admissions to various academic programmes at IISc and IITs for the session 2018-2019 shall be made based on all India merit list of JAM 2018. Candidates who qualify in any test paper of JAM 2018 shall be eligible to apply for admission to all the academic programmes corresponding to that test paper, provided they also satisfy the minimum educational qualifications and the eligibility requirements as specified by the institute(s) in which the admission is sought. Admission shall be given in the order of merit depending on the number of seats available at the admitting institute(s). After the declaration of JAM 2018 results, qualified candidates should apply on the prescribed admission form to the Organizing Institute (IIT Bombay) specifying their preferences for the programmes for which admission is sought. Further details regarding the admissions, prescribed fees etc. are available on the JAM 2018 website. Reservation policy is as per the Government of India norms.
