Topical• A topical scheme organizes items by
subjects. Most websites provide some types of topical access.
Task-oriented• Task-oriented schemes organize
content into a collection of functions, services, or tasks.
Audience specific• A bank might have navigation for
individuals, small businesses, and for corporations.
Hybrid schemes• These can combine multiple
organizational schemes, but, unless the schemes are physically separated confusion will result.
• For example, topical links could appear in a horizontal bar at the top and a left-handed bar could be task-oriented.
Hybrid schemes
•Topical links relating to merchandise are at the top.•Above the topical links is a task oriented bar – your account, etc.
