Assess Smart
•Don’t make more work then is needed•Monitor whole classes and note the kids who are struggling •Make a recording method that is easy for you to understand•Keep it consistent
Talking To Parents Make yourself familiar with the language used in
the parent rubrics Be able to support your grades with recordable
assessment notes Communicate the difference between Cumulative
and Culminating Be sure that they are aware of the rubric and
what is being reported Clearly explain the differences in what is report
each nine weeks
Parents Should NOT be Surprised

will experience a drop in grading the parent
