Organise A Question time for him!

As featured on our website Organise A Hen. Ask the husband-to-be to answer a set of questions before the hen do (you could even film his answers if he is willing!). Then ask the Hen the same questions on the hen do and see if she can guess what answers he gave. If the Hen has a particular pastime or hobby, why not have some questions around this? Be creative and be different with some of your questions. Don’t forget to think of some forfeits for wrong answers and bring some rewards for matching answers. For a comprehensive list of traditional and different “Mr & Mrs” questions, pretty template to populate with chosen questions and print each out for the hen do and detailed forfeit and reward ideas, consider selecting this as one of your games under our Prepared Hen package.

Personal Games Organise A Question time for him!

As featured on our website www.organiseahen.co.uk. Ask the groom-to-be to answer a set of questions before the hen do (you could even film his answers if he is willing!). We have included various “Mr & Mrs” games on our Hen Kit page for help with some questions and don’t forget to check out our forfeit and reward Hen Kit.

Organise A Memory Book

As featured on our website www.organiseahen.co.uk. Ask all of the guests to think of a memory of the Hen and ask them to bring a prop relating to this memory (you might want to pre warn the guests of any parental attendance for any possible x-rated memories!). At the hen do the Hen has a go at guessing what the memory is, using the prop as an aid. A reward or forfeit for a right or wrong answer could be used. The guest then confirms the memory and having written it down in advance it can be put into the ‘memory book’ in time for the wedding. See out Hen Kit page for some lovely books or photo albums that can be used for this. Why not also take a picture of the Hen with each guest and their chosen prop to also put into the memory book? A wonderful keepsake for the Hen and makes sure everyone has a part to play in making the hen do special.

Organise A Truth or Dare for the Hen

Most of us grew up experiencing the ups and downs of truth or dare as a classic childhood game. Now spice things up and pull together a list of ‘truth’ questions and a set of ‘dares’ in advance of the hen do. There are many variations of how you can play this game, but our favourite is to have each guest pick a question out of a hat (full of pre-prepared ‘truth’ questions) to ask the Hen. The Hen then chooses whether she would like to answer the question or accept a dare which can also be picked out of a hat (of pre-prepared dares). To keep the Hen company, the Hen then gets to ask that question back to the guest who can, in turn, choose ‘truth or dare’. Hint: ask each of the guests to prepare a couple of ‘truth’ questions and ‘dares’ in advance of the hen do to help you with the workload. Ask them to give these to the organiser on arrival at the hen do, or even email in advance so that you can print these off. Alternatively and if you want to keep the questions a surprise for all the guests, download our suggested list of truth and dares and print these off in advance of the hen do, so that you can take them with you – easy!

Guess Which Guest Games

Organise A Funny Photo Contest

In advance of the hen do ask all of the guests to find and bring a photo of the groom-to-be. Not just any photo but the funniest or ugliest photo of the groom-to-be that they can find! Suggest that they are inventive with their photos. Photoshop could give a lot of laughs. On the hen do itself arrange all of the photos for the Hen to see. Challenge the Hen to guess who brought which photo or to guess where each photo was taken and the story behind it.

Personal Games (cont.)

Organise A Good Wife Guide

Ask the guests to prepare some words of wisdom for the Hen’s impending nuptials and married life. These could take the form of just a few short sentences or advice in the form of personal experiences or even short poems or stories. Be clear with the guests of the type of thing that you are after (particularly length which you should vary in accordance with the number of people on the hen do) and give them plenty of notice. Ask the guests to write down their advice on a piece of paper that can be collected by you as each guest arrives on the hen do. The Hen then reads out each piece of advice and guesses which guest gave that advice. You could plan in some forfeits for wrong answers and rewards for correct answers. Hint: this game can be turned into a nice keepsake wedding present to give to the Hen on her big day. Ask guests to present their ‘Good Wife’ advice in a nice, decorative format if so and arrange these in a photo album or scrap book (see our Hen Kit page) for the bride-to-be after the hen do. Warn the guests that advice is intended to be kept forever by the Hen.

Organise A Good Wife Hamper

Ask the guests to bring a present to help the bride to be in her new role as wife. Funny, sentimental or practical. The choice is yours. Gifts do not need to be expensive and in fact could be handmade or second hand. Ask the guests to wrap the gifts and as the Hen then opens them on the hen do, she guesses who each gift is from. This game can fit very well with a vintage theme or a cookery class hen do to match the ‘housewife’ theme. But don’t forget to spin a modern edge. You may like to think of some suitable forfeits for wrong answers and rewards for correct answers.

Organise A Knicker Guesser Glory

Everyone brings a pair of knickers (new ones!) for the bride-to-be and she guesses which guest they are from. It really is as simple as that. Don’t forget to think of some forfeits for wrong answers and rewards for correct answers!

Guess Which Guest Games (cont.) Organise A Recipe Book

Ask the guests to write down their favourite recipe for the bride-to-be in advance of the hen do on a piece of paper, that can be collected by you as each guest arrives on the hen do. Suggest your guests think outside the box – it does not have to be a traditional meal recipe! The Hen then reads out each recipe and guesses which guest brought which recipe. You could plan in some forfeits for wrong answers and rewards for correct answers. The recipes can then be arranged into a book for the Hen in time for the wedding day so that the bride can keep this forever as a wonderful memory and keepsake.

Organise A Guest Embarrass-ing Story-time

Get everyone to think about an embarrassing story about themselves (you may want to suggest your guests think of something in advance of the hen do), write it down on a piece of paper (keeping it relatively short) so that the Hen can then read them out and guess which guest had which embarrassing moment. This is a great game to get some laughs. Remember the forfeits or rewards, that you can purchase through our Hen Kit page.

Creative Games Organise A Toilet Roll Wedding Dress

Get creative and divide the guests up into teams to fashion and dress one person in each team in a wedding dress made of nothing but toilet paper (but over the top of that guest’s clothes!). The bride-to-be chooses the winner. Don’t forget to buy plenty of toilet paper in advance of the hen do for this!

Organise A Knicker Party

Not what you think! In advance of the hen do ask each of the guests to buy and bring a new pair of plain white knickers to the hen do (don’t tell them why!). You will also need to purchase and collect enough crafty and novelty items (think needles & thread, beads, glitter, glue, tassles, anything that you can decorate a pair of knickers with) so that each of the guests can decorate their chosen knickers on the hen do (see out Hen Kit page under ‘The Crafty Hen’ for craft items). The Hen can spend some time mingling with each of the guests as they work on their knickers. Give the guests a time limit on their creations – you would be surprised how many perfectionists there are out there. The Hen then chooses a winner – remember to bring a prize for the winner.

Organise A Clay Man

This is a great and fun team game. Bring along some clay, moulding putty or anything similar (see our Hen Kit page under ‘The Crafty Hen’) (it could even work with various foods!) to the hen do and divide the guests into teams allocating a male body part to each team. You can divide this up as you wish! Each team is then challenged to mould that body part, so at the end of an allotted time period all body parts can be brought together to make the man. You will be surprised by the laughs and results that this achieves!

Team Games

Creative Games (cont.) Organise A Guess The Body Part

An old classic that is widely available in the days of digital cameras. You will need to get together with the groom-to-be before the hen do and assuming he is willing, take some obscured photos of various body parts – think shoulder, part of bicep and ankle rather than x-rated, but if your groom-to-be has a great sense of humour, you can come up with some real gems on this one! At the hen do, arrange the photos for the Hen to see. The Hen then has to guess the correct body part of her future husband from the photograph. As ever, remember the forfeits for wrong answers and rewards for correct answers. Check out our Hen Kit page under forfeits & rewards.

Organise A Chick Challenge

As featured on our website www.organiseahen.co.uk. In teams complete a list of challenges on a day or night out. Prepare a list of challenges in advance of the hen do and don’t forget to tailor these to your audience and the type of hen do you are on. Challenges can be anything from getting a free drink in a bar, to obtaining a size 11 left shoe from a member of the public (with photo evidence), to obtaining someone’s underpants, to performing a rendition of ‘I will Survive’ to the rest of the bar/restaurant/pub! Give each team of Chicks a list of challenges to complete – first team completed, with appropriate evidence, wins. Don’t forget a prize (or surprise forfeit?) for the winners. See our Hen Kit page for ideas.

Organise A Scavenger Hunt

Everyone loves a scavenger hunt! This is also a good way to get the hen party out of the way if you need to set anything up for the hen do. Local tourist offices are a good place to start to keep this simple for you. They usually supply some good scavenger or treasure hunts around cities and towns. If you have the time, you can always set one up yourself – just think of some landmarks, clues and sets of questions. The idea being is that, in teams the hen party wanders around a city (ideally on a sensible and logical route) to find answers to a set of questions, such as ‘Which famous person lived at the end of ‘Hen Road’?’ and at the end of Hen Road, the team should find a plaque on a building with the name of that person on it. Send the teams out and the first team to return with a complete set of correct answers wins! Incentivise the teams with a well earned prize.

Organise A Balloon Pass

A simple, classic team game. Divide the hen party into two or more teams and give each team a balloon (deflated). The challenge is to pass the balloon between the legs of each member of the team, not using hands to assist. If the balloon bursts the team must blow up another one and start from the beginning. The first team to successfully pass the balloon between each team member’s legs and back again (so that it ends with the person who started) wins! Bring plenty of balloons and don’t forget a prize!

Games for a Night Out

Naughty Games Organise A Pin the Tail on the Male

This is similar to pin the tail on the donkey. But it is actually, pin the tail on the male. Okay, when we say ‘Tail’ we don’t mean a tail as such… but a little more x-rated. Hopefully you are catching our drift? Get together a large poster of a man and a selection of ‘tails’ for each guest to take their turn at being blindfolded and pinning their ‘tail’ on the poster of the male. The poster of the male is often a poster of a scantily clad man, with the groom-to-be’s face superimposed (to preserve the actual groom-to-be’s modesty of course). You will find a number of versions of this on our Hen Kit page.

Organise A Fitting Game

A simple game for which you need very few props. A pack of condoms and some suitably shaped vegetables (such as carrots or courgettes)! Whilst sitting around in a circle (preferably in a private location for this one!) each guest takes her turn to fit the condom onto a selected vegetable. The Hen, having been provided with a notepad, awards points for style, finesse, originality and level of laughter, to each guest and following a tally at the end, declares a winner. Don’t forget to bring along a prize. The award ceremony should certainly have the Hen taking her turn at a ‘fitting’. Guaranteed to produce lots of laughs and a fabulous ice breaker.

Organise A Pegging Contest

Give each of the guests a set of three pegs and challenge them to peg three items through the night. The type of items, can be your choice (be inventive) but a popular choice is men you think are good looking!

Organise A ‘I Have Never’

A classic ‘drinking’ game for those of you so inclined. This is best played sitting in a circle. Get the ball rolling and start the game off by saying the words ‘I have never…’ and finish this off with something you have never done. This really can be anything so be inventive and make it fun! Any person in the circle who has done the thing that you have never done, takes a drink. You may wish to introduce different types of penalty, it does not have to be drinking. Check out some of our suggested forfeits if you want more inspiration.

Organise A Word Veto

List a set of banned words that neither the Hen nor the guests can say for the evening. The choice is yours when it comes to banned words and you can make this personal to the Hen and her friends. Make it difficult and include some common words used by the Hen and her friends. Popular choices are words such as ‘wedding’ or the name of the groom-to-be. Remember those all important forfeits for anyone who mentions a banned word!

If you have any comments or suggestions for other games, we would love to hear from you. Please email us!
