WE GO MORE THAN THE EXTRA MILEDSA’S VVIP PROGRAMME

DSA works with the Malaysian Government to ensure all invitation letters are delivered in good time to the invited VVIPs. DSA and the Government represented by an Armed Forces General embark on trips to Asean countries to pay courtesy calls to these VVIPs and personally hand deliver the invitation letters.

Each VVIP delegation hosted by DSA will be given specific routes or programmes during their visit. The programme will be followed through via the close coordination between the Malaysian Accompanying Officers and DSA’s VIP Ambassadors.

Malaysia, being the host country, will undoubtedly have the largest VIP contingent (1-star above and equivalent) over the 4-day period.

The much talked about ChART was organised by the Malaysian Army and was

well attended by not only Army Chiefs from the region but from other parts of the world where pertinent issues were discussed and

deliberated. The 3rd edition of ChART will be held during DSA 2016.

The first Asean Hall at a defence exhibition was realised at DSA 2014 whereby member countries showcased their respective defence industry via :

• The Asean Defence Industry Collaboration (ADIC) pavilion

• The Asean Defence Procurement Centre (DPC)

• The Malaysian Industry Defence Enforcement and Security (MIDES) pavilion DSA 2016 is expected to have a stronger presence of Asean participation.

BUSINESS TO BUSINESS(B2B) MEETING

B2B meetings were planned prior and during DSA 2014 between local and international exhibitors and trade visitors. This resulted in potentially new partnershipsand collaborations within the defence and security fraternity. This feature will again be activated for DSA 2016.

DSA 2016 OFFERS EXCEPTIONAL INSIGHTS INTO CURRENT ISSUESCONFERENCES & FORUMS

BATTLEFIELD MEDICINE - CBRNe (CHEMICAL, BIOLOGICAL, RADIOLOGICAL, NUCLEAR AND ExPLOSIVES)

Battlefield Medicine or Healthcare has been a DSA feature since 2008. Still a highly relevant theme within the overall defence sector, DSA 2016 is expected to again feature exhibits relevant to this field. DSA is also recognised as delivering one of the highest attendance of Surgeon Generals at a defence show globally. CBRNe will again be deliberated via a CBRNe seminar or workshop during DSA 2016.

SECURITY - CYBER SECURITY

A Cyber Security Conference was organised in conjunction with DSA 2014 which proved a success whereby all parties responsible for Cyber Security came together to address the pressing issues concerning this hot topic. A follow-up conference will be held during DSA 2016.

HADR - HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE & DISASTER RELIEF FORUM

Another very relevant topic especially for this region, HADR was a key feature at DSA 2014 where an introductoryForum was held. This HADR Forum, a first of its kind held alongside a major Defence exhibition was very well received by a host of top line speakers and presenters bringing together all the relevant players for this sector. This feature will definitely be more prominent at DSA 2016 whereby companies providing the equipment, products and technology for HADR is expected to participate.

HELD IN CONjUNCTION WITH DSA: PUTRAjAYA FORUM 2016

This will be the 3rd edition collaboration with The Malaysian Institute of Defence and Security (MiDAS). The Forum will involve Defence Ministers, Chiefs of Defence Force and Secretary Generals of the Defence Ministry of ASEAN.

The DSA 2016 website will be highly interactive and will contain all progressive information about the show and all its related events. This will also include pre-registration facilities on-line.

PRESS & INTERNATIONAL MEDIA

A total of 729 members of the press and media attended and covered DSA 2014. Press Registration facilities on-line will also be made available via the DSA 2016 website to encourage more press to attend hence increasing the show’s publicity.

PRESENTATIONS

Presentations will be conducted to military camps / police branches and all related quarters encouraging top ranking Officers to attend. To support this, a Transport Programme will also be lined-up, whereby transportation will be sponsored to shuttle in Officers from all over Malaysia.
