Does the nature take its revenge?
Organic food
• it is produced according to the requirements of the regulation 834/2007 of the European Union
• it is strictly prohibited the use of chemical pesticides - fertilizers and hormones • it should be packed and certified
• organic vegetables are sold only in their season
high concentrations of vitamins, trace elements, salts, ethereal oils and sugars
Advantages of organic food
bigger content than conventional food in vitamin C
rich in precious antioxydant substances
it offers protein of higher biological value
they contain low concentrations of nitric salts that have been connected with the appearance of the cancer of stomach

Results from the questionnaires of the consumers :
• most of the consumers trust organic food
• most of the consumers regard organic food as safer and more nutritious than conventional food
• the percentage of cunsomers, who buy organic food, is not so high, due to low availability and high prices, in comparison with conventional food
responsible of a well-known chain of supermarkets :
«the demand of organic food is double today than 2 years ago, and the percentage of sales is the 4-6% of the total of sales»
