SHARING OUR FAITH THROUGH MUSIC

Go Rest High On That Mountain Written By: Vince Gill

Solo: Barry Blackstone

I know your life on earth was troubled

And only you could know the pain

You weren’t afraid to face the devil

You were no stranger to the rain

CHORUS

So go rest high on that mountain

‘Cause son your work on earth is done

Go to Heaven a shoutin’

Love for the Father and the Son

Oh how we cried that day you left us

We gathered ‘round your grave to grieve

Wish I could see the angels faces

When they hear your sweet voice sing

REPEAT CHORUS TWICE

• OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHIES: We lost two church members this week. Fay Moynihan died last Thursday, June 15th at her home at Freedom Plaza. Bill Potter died last week in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he and Lori spent their summers. Let us remember to pray for God’s comfort and peace for Fay and Bill’s family and friends in their time of bereavement and loss.

• NEW CARE MINISTRY COORDINATOR: We are delighted to announce that John Lozano will be our new Care Ministry coordinator, so thank you John for stepping up the plate and volunteering to take on this important role in our church.

• 4th of JULY PICNIC: Tickets are now on sale for our Patriotic Picnic and Sing-Along, an indoor church picnic on Tuesday, July 4th in Alexander Hall at 2 PM. Join us for hot dogs, all the fixins, and dessert. Following the food, we will be having a patriotic sing-along with the very talented Christine and Peter Kyhn. Tickets are only $5.00 and available after service in Alexander Hall.

• FLOWER SIGN UPS: There are still several openings remaining this year to sign up for flower dedications. Please consider signing up! The sign up calendar and information is located on the bulletin board outside of Alexander Hall.

• DEADLINE FOR AUGUST/SEPTEMBER ROADRUNNER ARTICLES: Please remember to submit articles, photos, etc. for the August/September combined issue of the Roadrunner by July 15th to Terri King in the church office.

Please see our bulletin board for those needing our prayers.
